right click the exe and go to properties and try running in a different graphical setting before click the exe to load the game also sometimes helps to select run as administrator.

whatever you used to download it the exe game file would of gone to that folder so dependant on where you set your downloads to go to on your system automatically then simply locate, copy and paste to desktop and your away.
