To climb back on the raft you have to jump (spacebar) and then immediately move forward (W or Up).

In my dehydrated delirium have fallen off the raft yet again. I know it is possible to get back on the raft, because I did it once by accident. But I can't figure out how to do it again. However, I did get to go for a ride on the back of shark, which was cool.
