I CAN’T ESCAPE THE WHITE SHIT PARTICLES!!! THEY ARE CORNERING ME I AM SERIOUS GUYS

I am very intrigued by this game. The characterization is surprisingly realistic for both MC and the love interest. Mychael is simultaneously sweet AND threatening. You feel like trusting and distrusting him at the same time. As a player we have additional knowledge of the game itself and overall setting so tricking us - the player - into trusting this guy is not an easy feat. Still, Mychael makes himself to be this timid, small and insecure man, who rarely seems upset. The abandonment issues and self-hatred make him sympathetic and kinda pitiful which in turn makes us, the player feel in control or/and protective of him. We want to take care of him and “fix him” even though he might hurt us (idk I only played once and he didn’t but who knows?).

I like the memory-loss angle you took here. Makes me think of gaslighting. It seems like you approached the topic of manipulation by showing it as a mystical power. It makes it feel that much powerful and even inescapable. The main character is very likeable as well which makes the immersion much more possible. They are clearly quite naive and careless, but kind and observant. It’s a good balance of good and negative traits and at the same time it’s a perfect person for Mychael to manipulate/fall in love with. It’s not easy to create someone relatable that I can imagine being but you pulled that off.

The art is absolutely phenomenal. It has this soft edge to it. There is something special about you describing living in a forest. It reminds me of my childhood when I would go into the woods so I obviously have a soft spot for this forest aesthetic and vibe. I am looking forward to seeing future developments for this game. You are clearly very talented! Keep it up :)
