Cool!!
Thanks for doing this; that was a REALLY good idea!!!!!
Cool game! I like how it gets faster and faster! I also really like the cover art! Nice making a good title image instead of doing just a screenshot or stock image.

I have a question: could you make transition animations for when you get hurt? Or make you blink red a few times when you get hurt? I think it'd look a lot cooler if you did.
Well, great job on this! It looks like you put some work into it! Have fun making other games, and hopefully you don't run into too many bugs or issues!
So... good job on this game! I have a few thoughts:
You should add more content and make it a full game! Good luck coding!
Hey guys! Check out the most recent devlog!
https://bannanaboy.itch.io/clippy-desktop/devlog/934673/summer-plan
Actually, come to think of it, it is the only devlog...
I love that idea!!!
I was thinking of doing things like that myself, but I wasn't sure if the people's wanted it to be a practical Clippy or funny Clippy. So I'll go the funny route!!!
YESSS thanks for asking that!!!
I'm going to post a devlog of all the updates I plan to do over the summer.
Thanks for commenting!
It's the time you need to wait, sorry.
Every frame (0.1 sec), it'll do a random number from 1-the odds_of_question variable, and if it's 1, Clippy will ask you a "question". Yay! I'll make this more clear in a bit...
By the way, over summer break I'll do a large update!
So, hold on tight! I'm going to release a devlog or something with the exact details... :)
Make him a chat bot??? That's an idea...
Hmmm.... maybe. I... huh. I can't use ai unfortunately to do a chat bot, because that costs money for me to use a ChatGPT API, but I could maybe make him have pregenerated responses and get keywords from your text??? Maybe???
I can't really make it an app since it's coded in Python. :(
Oof, uh...
OK, so: it probably is returning an error because I didn't add "./" before the path. Try Ctrl+F (finding) this: "path =", then adding "./" before the path variable.
Also, I forgot to change this: go into ./data/configure/config.json, and change the transparent_background (first option) to true. If it's false, Clippy will have a black background.
Hi, guys!
I haven't gotten started on the new animations for Clippy yet; sorry about that!
If you want to do it, then just replace the .gif files in the data folder, I think, with different animations. Make sure they have a black background, though!!
Thanks for commenting on my project here! :)
School has also started back up, so... I don't have much time for working on Clippy projects. :(
Have a good day guys! :)
Wow, thanks!! I never expected to get an actual YouTuber to stream my game!!
I guess I made it a little confusing for the goal of the different levels. I guess that's OK.
I'm a fan of Clippy, too! :)
I made another thing, "Clippy Desktop," that you can make Clippy be on your desktop. He isn't actually helpful; he's mostly there for entertainment.
Thanks again for taking the time to play my game! Especially the video!! :))
