Hey waldorf,

Thank you so much for playing my game, very much enjoyed watching your stream of playing it.

I will definitely look at subtitling, any recommendations on how to make it so it syncs nicely with the SE? As I ran out of time before I could figure it out. 😂😁

I will definitely check out the map restart feature and the leaderboard for cheating.

Kindest regards

Dan

Hi Benny,

Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to play it and that the puzzles gripped you enough that you had to comeback in your own time to finish it.

I have absolutely no clue what was happening with audio, joys of SE actions. I will continue to polish this game as I'm hoping to use it as portfolio work to apply for a job position in the gaming industry.

I will make sure the map traversal bug is fixed as well.

Kindest regards

Dan

I wanted to put subtitles in, especially with all the audio issues I had... Sadly ran out of time

Hahahaha i shall try and smooch my way to victory

Thank you so much,  I really appreciate the time you took to complete the game

Only way I could see how to solve the voice issue was to buy Visustella's voice plugin, which sadly didn't have the aforementioned funds to do at the time. I've just released a new version which modifies the volume slightly... not sure if it fixes the problem completely, but sadly is what it is.

I agree a level select could be a fun addition for the future.

I'm very glad you had fun though.

Is there a chance to get a list of the twitch streams and what games are played in those twitch streams?

If I get a chance I will try again as I do love a secret, and i did enjoy your humour... Not sure what that says about me 🤣😁

Was that a Monty Python Holy Grail reference
Solid humour, i liked the variety.. not a big fan of rng combat, but i'm assuming that was for only one part of it judging by the screenshots. Sadly, killed it for me when i got to the rebel home base.

Space invaders is always a win in my books.

not sure if you wanted to make it so the player can't just run up to the monsters and spam the spark key, but it was my trusty way of surviving :)

Fun mechanic, and Harold shall always be loved.

The art and UI were fantastic, I loved the humour... the face plant image in the hurdles mini game... made me chuckle :)

Very sorry to hear about your SSD exploding, not what you want in a game jam.

This is a gorgeous game, with as you say a couple of niggly bits that need fine tuning given enough time, but nothing I would consider game breaking.

Fantastic job, I love it and I'm very envious of your artistic talents.

Haha you wanted to go and make minesweeper more difficult? You big bully.
Very well done though, this seemed to be completely random so I can imagine that was quite challenging to pull off.

Love the art, I would have absolutely love this Tileset creating some of my dungeons. Loved the character creation and choice for text box and font. Clearly a lot of love and attention went into that.

I also really liked how quick it was to get into the action, a lot of games I've played so far had to get through a lot of text before I was allowed to roam. Which again I really liked.

Sadly, I'm one of the few people that I know of in this world who really cannot get on with dice rolls in my video game RPGs, yet a fan of DnD. I know huge walking contradiction but is what it is.

The music and artwork were fantastic really suited the simplicity of what you were going for, and made it as people have said very calming.

Didn't really feel any impact from raising the price to max the entire time, other then people making the same second mortgage joke :)

You definitely have the making of something that could really fit into the casual gaming market. I don't know if there's area for expanding into building a conglomerate, delivery service etc. and having it so a player can become a billionaire and skipping school entirely.

Definitely also want to make sure you're okay, the text messages with the mum were pretty deep cutting.

I liked the relationship between the characters and the conversations weren't too overbearing.

I also liked the fact you added side quests, which isn't easy to do even with Visustella plugin (Sadly the journal didn't appear in the menu.)

Great use of the tool and all it's offerings, I liked the drones

not quite sure why, but it kept on stopping me every couple steps telling me that I was virtuous. Which is always nice to hear. The static audio was a bit much for me so I had to turn it down. The artwork however was awesome, great work, it did get progressively weird as the game went on which I love.

I also liked the idea of rather than just attacking you had to decide to either curse or bless them.

The artwork for the character faces is fantastic, and the time and effort you've put in to animate all the starting story clearly must have taken a great deal of time. Great work

Your militia of cats has taught me not to deter from the path :)
Yet after being mauled by a snowman and trapped in a well, I don't seem to have learnt my lesson.
Great use of the assets available to you, and if this is your first project then very much kudos.

Just a heads up

Yeah i put a rule that if you refresh 3 times you then get the choice to skip

I should have some time this weekend, look forward to it

Interesting premise, kind of reminded me of those old flash games where you had a certain amount of actions to spend each day to up your stats to eventually get good enough to complete the game

Solid use of the default art assets, I quite liked the map layout and the use of brighter colours when a lot of rpg makers have a tendency to go darker.

The artwork in this game was wild, when I thought it couldn't get any weirder I'd be pleasantly surprised once more :)

Love your main menu picture, so much colour and that title is just perfect. The Final Fantasy joke was solid 10/10. :)

WOW VX Ace. blast from the past... that was a trip. Pretty sure that artwork will plague my dreams for a while.

Amazing work, I don't know why but it reminded me of an old ps1 game called Salary man sage.

Clearly a lot of time and effort went into building the floors and getting the artwork up to scratch, solid work.

It's an interesting art style and must have taken a lot of work, bit of a strain on my poor old eyes though :)

Loved the premise, would have been great to have a guide book or something just to explain all the interesting mechanics you had going on. Loved the find the match to light the stove, then get the pan and food. Very cool.

Amazing artwork and the music gave off some spaghetti western vibes.
Best vampire story since Twilight :D

Fractured my head, then wine poison, then the clock distracted me into oblivion... I'm starting to think I'm not meant to interact with anything in this game. Finally save the game at the same moment the librarian girl attacked me... entered into a death loop, you are a mean level designer :D

Kudos for creating a game in Unite, it's a beast.

Kind of reminds me of the good ol' wizardy 8 days

Controls take a little getting used to
Needed a map by the end haha

Really enjoyed the unlock multiple endings mechanic, really cool idea. Your character art was also really good. Some good humour in there as well.

Great use of the art work, loved the intro... that must have taken an insane amount of work. Lots of love and attention went into animating the faces etc.

Couple of spelling mistakes and grammar issues here and there, nothing to be concerned about.

Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it

What's the time expectancy for evaluating the submissions and announcing winners?

I'll put it on the to do list, thanks for replying so quickly buddy. Appreciate it.

Ooh I don't know... I will test :)

But I think I was probably being stupid :D

The disable effeseeker function appears to stop play animation on event from working.
