The way it's wired in for the online version is that your session log lives on your computer like cookies so if you do a browser refresh or a hard refresh they'll lose their memories. If you don't put in an API key then they just use normal branching dialogue but if you put in an API key then there live characters. What do you mean by professionalism? could you be more specific?
