This is such a cute concept! I'd love to see this fleshed out and expanding on because I love the idea of a little alien creature roaming and exploring earth in a platformer style. It felt like you could explore the world with multiple paths, and I had fun going about wherever I wanted. The pixel art is really neat, I love the square yet organic feel the environment has. The animations are also really cute.

I would say that my issue about this game is the controls and physics. It felt frustrating trying to jump from one platform to the next. The alien would benefit from having a lighter weight, as it was hard to jump between platforms. I couldn't make it from the cave to the higher level because of some of the physics. Tweaking the slopes so that it doesn't affect the jumps and fixing the bug that makes jumps next to tall platforms weaker would help.

I do want to see more from this game though and it looks like you've accomplished a lot for the final!

This was a work of art. I don't know how you were able to do this in such a short amount of time, it's incredible what you were able achieve.  The art and environments were so gorgeous. The parallax scrolling you had was huge in immersing  me in this world.  The character moves around so smoothly. You feel lightweight and breezy as it should, and wow it felt so good to control.

If there are any things that could benefit this game going further, I suggest illuminating the lanterns more when you're falling down the cavern. It felt like they just faded into an abyss and it didn't feel like they were really glowing. I also suggest having a sound to indicate you've touched the lanterns. It did take me a few seconds to realize what exactly were the lanterns, so any further visual indicator or audio one would help here. Overall this was spectacular, and you really seem like you could make more great games in the future.

Your writing is really good. Everything is so vividly and descriptive, and I felt like I was really in this world. So far I like the interactivity between Kain?( I'm bad with names) and how he already has such personality to him. I know this game is early in development, so one suggestion I could give is to remove the slow dissolve feature if you're going back to a previous point. I like how they're done as you're progressing, but if you want to have the player go back to previous points, the transitions can get tiring. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the game when it's done!

This game was pretty and so comforting. Your concepts for the afterlife were so charming and it was a blast to explore!
