Really beautiful visuals, especially the tomato growing animation, going from flower to fruit :)

Pretty fun, a little hard to control

The characters look really cool :)

It would be fun if you made a more complex game using them

It got me going for a highscore. It really gets addicting.

It reminded me of a cancelled game, Keyboard Sports. It had a bunch of minigames based on using all the keys on your keyboard.

I enjoyed playing this. It feels like a combination of Warioware games.

The music, it is a certified banger. How did you go about creating it?

I also love the gremlins' monkey sounds and appearance, haha.

I first saw the instructions to not start with level 7. I started with level 7.

Then I gave up. I went back to level 1. But then I got stuck on 2 because I couldn't figure out climbing, even after reading the instructions.

I think it would of been easier to just implement a simple wall jump.

I really like the visuals, the pixel art is clean and the character is adorable.

I like the look, but as others have said, the controls should match the camera perspective.

Also the perspective can be confusing. Maybe you could add shadows under the platforms.

I also really like the character, I look at it as a fish head with legs, lol

I have an issue with the audio, when I start the game, the audio stutters continuously and rapidly. If I mute the tab and then unmute it, it is solved.

Speaking of which, really smooth melody. How did you compose it?

Also how long has it taken you to develop this custom engine? Would you say it was worth it over using an existing engine? Or was it more for the enjoyment of the experience?

Thanks for playing!

Old scary flash game is definetly what I was going for.

Yea, it would of been fun to have even more options of torture. The time was enough, but I lack experience haha.

Thank you for playing!

I was debating on adding a jumpscare warning, but I think it would have ruined the ending, haha

Thank you for the high praise!

I wish I had enough time to add more weapons. The cannon was just a placeholder so the shop aligned properly :)

That sounds like a cool solution, I will have to try that.

Really cool game, I think it is my favorite of the jam.

Very concise and well thought. I liked the difficulty in choosing to have 2 knights which kept aging.

The visuals really fit the simplicity of the game.

It just feels good to play. I actually had to get myself to stop playing because I have to get work done.

How did you go about implementing the scoreboard? Is it a server on which you keep the scores?

I like it, the gameplay feels like a Pacman in the dark.

This is a good idea for a game, the main mechanic feels good.
You should continue this, but choose a better aesthetic/theme, while keeping the core mechanic and juicing it up.

I've made it to the end. Good job creating this and good luck continuing to make games.

I think a few minor changes could improve it greatly.

Making the bee face the direction you are moving.

Give the player a little more time to react, as it is the tomatoes kill you in a split second. Maybe keep the rooms, but make the characters much smaller, so you have a better chance to run around them.

Don't restart the background sound every time you respawn. Because of how easy it is to die, even in the first room, the chirp at the start gets spammed and it is a little annoying. Keep it going in a loop using a global script.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for taking part in the experiment.

(Haha, I was just reviewing your game as you wrote this)

It is very polished and the loop of the game feels great.

Also, I think it has the best thumbnail of this jam.

I also liked the end animation :)

The minimalist visuals are nice!

It feels a little frustrating at times, like the hedgehog forcing you to wait for him or certain spikes' placement, like the one in the first level that is placed sideways at the end of a platform, the first time I didn't get that it was an obstacle.

Maybe your tomato would be interested in joining our project. ;)

I like it very much, especially the aesthetic of the game.

I made it to the 3rd checkpoint and I guessed that I've seen what there was to see.

I might need to try Blockbench for myself, did you also create the animations in this?

As @Ratamata said, a little juicy feedback on actions would go a long way.

Also the 2 headed Goblin felt pretty samey to the 3 eyed goblin with a double crossbow, as both of them fired 3 bullets in not so different patterns.

But as I said, you nailed such a nice vibe.

Thank you for taking part in the experiment.

Thank you for taking part in the experiment.

Thank you for taking part in the experiment.

The nuclear cannon is only made available for certain experiments and situations.

(It is impossible to get it, as the game will always end before you have the money. I guess you could get like a mouse clicker and input 999999999999 clicks per second and if you are fast enough, you will get it. But I didn't code it in, it just instantly ends the game. - I just needed a 6th item to fill up the shop because I didn't know how to center a 2 item row lol)

Thank you for taking part in the experiment.

Be sure to report any anomalies to your supervisors.

Thanks for playing! :D

Yea, as it is, it wouldn't be enjoyable if it were a longer game.

I had more ideas, but I didn't have the time to spend the whole weekend on this.

I had planned and I've even started a 3D section in the game, but as I'm not so experienced at 3D, it got cut.

Thank you for taking part in the experiment.

Is there any way you would do a devlog about how you created the effects for this game? They are amazing and I'm curious about this. Or maybe what resources you've used??

The wobbling UI, as others have said, is a little annoying, but I can see the appeal of doing it this way :)

The character is really beautifully drawn.

It is a little annoying to restart the whole game once you fail a question.

Haha, remind me of Halloween events on old Roblox and Costume Quest. I like these halloweeny feel good vibes :)

The visuals look great and it shows that a lot of work and care was put into the game.

I love games with many characters.

Also, the animation of scanning the passports is a nice touch!

Signed, the new Boss B-)

I really like the atmosphere and the setting of the game.

The visuals are gorgeous, the characters are my favorite part.

It's fun to go character to character and investigate them. It would be cool if you would continue this game and you would also add tasks to be done in the hotel during the day.

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

And making a video on my game, that was a suprise, haha!

You're the first one to actually record themselves playing one of my games :)

I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Also, there seems to be some bugs in the game, good to have them on video, maybe someday I will patch them :)

Thanks for playing!

Yes, the zipper needs balancing!

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

Yes, I agree, the jumpscares are too punishing.

I didn't have much time to test this, as I've fully implemented them in the last night of the jam and by then, my irl friends which were my testers were all asleep, haha. I need to get some international testers to prevent things like this :)

Thanks for playing!

I agree, there is a lot of polish that can go into the game. I hope with time I will get better at it :)

Thanks a lot! The kind words mean a lot! :)

Amazing how much you managed to achieve in 7 days.

I love the character art and the game feels good!

It definitely has potential to build upon!

Nice game! Really intriguing story, I got immersed in the atmosphere!

Although a minor complaint, it was kind of easy to get the key to the main entrance, although I know I had a choice to stay and to investigate further. It would be nice to be locked in and intrigued further for a longer time.
