YPbPr in NTSC and RGB in PAL both work fine, only composite is stuck in PAL.

Is there a special region on wii's NAND that 240p test suite uses to set video mode to PAL/NTSC but unused by other homebrew/system menu? I suspect any region changer doesn't change this region back to NTSC therefore 240p test suite keeps outputing PAL signal.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I think somehow the console is stuck in PAL for 240p test suite. I've already tried changing video modes in main menu, 240p/480i are all in b/w, 288p/576i are in b/w too and image jumps (which i think is normal as my CRT is 60hz NTSC only).

I also tried to disable PAL modes in settings and restart, still in b/w. Also tried to delete 240p suite folder on sd card and reinstall it, still the same.

Checked in any region changer and wii's video mode is indeed set to NTSC, and system menu/homebrew launcher and several 240p emulators all run properly.

Hello.

First of all, thanks for  this awesome homebrew. However, I did notice an issue/bug with color systems on wii. My wii is an NTSC (US) model, and 240p test suite works fine on it. I used any region changer to change it to PAL (EU) to enable RGB output to test a modded CRT, and it outputs RGB signal without any issue. Afterwards I changed my wii's region back to NTSC and I noticed 240p test suite is in black and white only. Everything else (system menu, wii games, emulators running in 240p) is normal and renders color correctly. Tried several different multi-format TVs, a sony trinitron from 90s will show color when color system is set to PAL or NTSC 4.43. On an NTSC only flat panel it shows color correctly. All NTSC CRT TVs I have will only show black and white.

I'm a bit confused now, is there anything else I can test to help identify the cause? Btw running genesis/snes ports with emulator has no issue, just the wii native port.
