This is great! If I absolutely had to make a tweak it would be to spawn the enemies farther away from the player between each wave. I would often lose most of my health between waves as there was no count down timer AND they spawned on top of me. I actually loved that the controls were based on the players rotation. Left was always left as the character was facing, although hard to get used to at first it was a cool and unique game mechanic I really enjoyed!
Cute, great effort! Of course the art will be getting the praise here but make no mistake, the effort in the code is also obvious. Getting the sprite to change directions as the character moves and idle when not moving, picking up shells when the correct button is pressed AND you are close enough, playing the right dialogue at the right time. Keep up the work and you are going places!

Our first ever game jam and our first ever game. We hope you all had a blast this jam and enjoy the game. Feed back is always welcome and if it is positive enough we may even continue the project. You will see on our git repo README just how much content was shaved off to get the game in on time. If you have a submission as well we would love to play it. Let us know!
