I just learned there was an update to the community discord.
They added a react role bot, but they didnt research anything about it before hand, and gave it more admin permissions than the actual moderators and it deleted a few of the discord text channels without warning.

I'll reply to this one since it's the most sane reasoning for an argument against me.
I'm aware that having invasive checks for a government ID on a discord server is a bad idea and discord has it in their TOS as a bad thing that can get you exploded.
I've already explained in my big post this isnt what I wanted to do if you even could implement it on a server of that scale.
However, after being in that server for enough time, you learn that a bunch of people in there are at the very least, immature, if not minors already. As someone who was a mod in there, however, you can't reliably ban people for being underage based on vibes without causing problems. So, you can only really rely on facts which obviously people can just hide. Realistically, there are 3 things you can ban people over, The Discord "Are you 18+?" prompt which everyone already just can say yes to regardless, someone having their age in their bio, which can also just be hidden, and finally, the person coming forward and admitting either to a friend/partner or to a mod themselves.
The amount of active, regular accounts who would come forward in the time I was still inside the server was provably about 10 and in my own memory, about 20+. A notable one was the incident which got RP as a whole banned from the server. One account acting as Toriel from Undertale would ERP with practically everyone interested for I wanna say like 8 months. Then out of the blue one day they basically wrote a big long "apology" that was basically "I was 16 all along, im cutting all contact, good bye" and left the server like they were some kind of saint. The absolute chaos this caused would be so bad RP as whole would be banned entirely, even though the ban was never officially added to the rules despite the pleading of mods.
Minors are by no means allowed on the server, but you also cant just roll over and let them lie their way into it and do nothing. You gotta act like you care, you gotta put forward that effort. Rahi doesnt want to put in that effort of running a big public server like what she has now. She loves the vibe of a small supporter server, but that's not what she set up and that's certainly not the way things are run.
I'll give an example of that "effort" that doesnt involve minors. SO, the way the server is set up, you have cosmetic supporter roles that dont do anything, they just give a unique role, then you have moderators, and then you have the server owner themself who can do anything. As a moderator, you can mute, kick, and ban, and that is it, you cannot make changes to the server and cannot even talk in the big official channels iirc.
First problem, at the highest number, there have been a total of 3 active moderators and then the owner themself, in a server of several thousand members. Most of those members are inactive, but the numbers simply still dont add up.
And I believe the moderator count is currently down to 2 now. Ever since I left it was a /single/ moderator *until* this recent mod drama started and we got another, which is several months of just one moderator for the whole server.
Second Problem, The moderator role was actually *lower* on the heirarchy list than the *supporter role*, which meant you could have easily just pay for a supporter tier and you became completely immune to all moderation. This was known about for *months* and was just never fixed because the only person could make changes was busy developing a game and thought it would be fine to leave it alone. The only thing that got it fixed was that some troll had come in and did exactly what I just described while Rahi was asleep while I tried to handle the situation as best I could. Once it was over, I finally managed to convince Rahi to change it, so fortunately you can't do this exploit anymore. This is just another example that nothing is ever done about serious problems until its too late.
This is long enough, I'll leave it here.
Alright, I made a new account that's in my name, lets explain myself and hopefully get the recent discord drama over with.
I have recently removed all of my mods for the game BDCC in part due to what I feel is extremely poor moderation of the community server itself. I worked as a mod developer and moderator of the game's community discord.
As moderator, my power was heavily limited and there was essentially no existing rules to actually enforce. During my time as a moderator, I pushed the game's developer to make changes to the community server for the better, but was instead repeatedly ignored with the excuse that everything was totally fine when I knew it wasn't. These changes included.
-Having actual server rules to enforce beyond "Dont be a dick"
-Moderators having power to do things beyond just banning spam bots.
-The ability for Moderation to give a role to someone to say "this person is trustworthy and not a minor or a bastard"
-Someone having the ability to make changes to the server itself without having to wait on the already very busy game developer to make changes several months later.
-Any kind of barrier to entry so spam, minors, and other bad actors couldnt just click a link and gain full access to a 18+ server.
Some people have misinterpeted this as me wanting to add ID verification to every server member coming into the server. I far as I can remember, I have never said I wanted this for the server, especially since it goes against Discord TOS. A different far smaller server I was a part of has something similar but I only gave it as an example and not what I wanted to implement. I know ID checking everyone coming is already impossible and immoral.
An example of what has made me so worked up is a case from before I became a moderator, is there was an exhibitionism channel in the community server, where members were encouraged to post nude photos of themselves. Naturally, several people who had posted photos of themselves would go on and confess to being not legal, and as a result, the channel was locked and hidden from view. However, none of the content within was ever actually deleted, just not accessible or viewable to any other member. It would take several months for the channel to be properly deleted, content and all, after I had became a moderator and was able to explain the significant risk and harm of keeping the channel around.
I would go on to continually ask for the changes listed above to improve the server and prevent other further damages and I would constantly be turned away with the reason of "It's fine, nothing bad is happening, don't worry about it". I would realize there was no way of changing anything, and would step down as a moderator and later, my opinion of community would sour to the point of leaving it, and further again to no longer wanting my content to be available from myself, where I would take down all 100+ mods I have made for the game and simply let the community repost them without my input. Stuff I had directly put into the game could stay and any reposts I would not interfere with because I am no longer involved.
Should things change for the better in my eyes, I would be more than willing to come back and return all of my content to mod community. Despite everything, I am still very amicable with the game's creator, I know their job is hard one and they are a small cat. However, I cannot trust anyone from the game's community anymore that I don't already personally know.
May things change for the better.
