Saw some gameplay of this game and I have to give some honest criticism.
1. Was the beginning text and diary written by AI? The frequent em dashes and sentence structure gave off a very ChatGPT'ish feeling. I don't like to accuse anyone of using AI, but I've grown fairly accustomed to recognizing something that was written by ChatGPT.
2. The game is very obviously inspired by Fears to Fathom. Inspiration can go a long way, but it felt like a direct copy. The notification sound for when Max texts you is the same from FtF. I respect the fact that you gave credit to Rayll, but for future reference try to make your own original foundation and UI.
3. The game definitely needs some sort of tasklist, as it is sometimes quite unclear on what to do. The YouTuber I watched also got a bit frustrated from it.
4. The end chase definitely needs some work. The stock running animation looks quite goofy and for me tossed the immersion out the window. I had a good laugh, it would be perfect for a comedy horror game. But this game takes itself seriously, so it'd be better to improve the end chase.
5. The diary lore-dump wasn't the best. I feel like it would've been better if the diary was split into pages and scattered around from the beginning of the game.
This is your first game, and it is free, so I won't be very harsh. For the future, I recommend steering clear of AI, even if it might seem like an easy shortcut. Write things yourself and build your own style, instead of taking heavy inspiration from Rayll.
I imagine being a solo indie dev isn't easy, and I wish you very well. Good luck! <3
