Thank you so much for playing!

(1 edit)

You're definitely right about the tutorial. Thank  you for playing our game!

Thank yo so much for trying our game! Yeah, we lacked a tutorial sadly. Should have taken at least 15 minutes to write a simple label with instructions at the start, oops!

Fantastic stuff! The towers overpower the music a bit when you get to place a lot of them, but this is a banger of a unique entry!

That means a lot. Thanks so much for playing and getting mad >:)

Procedurally-generated critters is a good idea, but not only that, it was executed very cleverly and in a way that looks fantastic! Good work, the visuals of this one are really stylized and good.

Awesome implementation of rage scene. The critters were genuinely creepy when they got on you. The bossfight was a nice touch! Also that settings screen was very fleshed out haha

The art is very cute. I'm taking these critters to Vegas!

Enjoyable critter gamba :)

We definitely lacked a tutorial. But I'm glad you still figured it out and thank you so much for playing!

It was a bit of a gamble. We weren't sure how well capchas would be received, but it seems that the feedback has been mostly positive!

Thank you so much! Credit goes to Mibris for much of the presentation, not just the music! He basically made our custom splash screen and whole itch page.

Hehehe things do get caotic don't the

Woah, a half hour! Thank you so much for trying our game!

Welcome to Godot Wild Jam, and congratulations because this is super nice as your first submission! You've successfully implemented a full game loop while staying on theme and implementing wild cards.

Cute and varied critter collection!

My only complaint whatsoever is that the text labels for the QTEs can appear partially cutoff off screen. Everything else, amazing work!

Nastiest entry so far! (that's a compliment)

Superb implementation of the Rage Room wildcard, and it's really cool to be able to play both sides. Good work!

Nicely fleshed out game! The bugs were cute and well animated. It was fun to have different bugs to fight with including the larva lol. Those houseflies are a menace!

Thank you for trying our game!

What gives game devs feelings of power:

That raccoon is a menace! The critters have cute art :)

One of the more unique entries for sure. Very original take on "Critters". I think the emojis were broken for me on both Firefox and Chrome. Great work tho, super original!

I confirm QTE animations don't work on Firefox. A nice entry tho. Very clean menu and transitions. I thought I was clever by getting the invincibility buff then letting the swarm over take me, oops haha

Thank you!

Looks like a submission with an essence of worldbuilding. Also I immediately felt the LoZ vibes, which if you were going for that, you nailed that.

Action-packed game with cool critter characters with nice animations. My only complaint is that the background is the same style and color as the foreground. I'd suggest maybe making the background a bit more faded, desaturated, or blurrier, so that it is easier to read the obstacles especially at high speeds

The bomber pigeon minigame was pretty funny. The beachside minigame seemed to not work for me (no one threw trash after waiting a couple minutes). Good entry altogether tho!

That was clever, to have the scientific names as the hard mode. Definitely got me there. Went from 45/49 on easy to a pitiful 9 on hard. Also nice raccoon art and thumbnail lol

Very nice graphics. You nailed the arcade feel, and lovely unique characters. The level design was challenging, as well!

That ladybug is the doom guy (lady) of bugs

It was fun to command your army of rats, sometimes sacrificing a rat or two for the greater good! Controls took a minute to get used to, especially the way to rotate the camera, but wasn't too bad. Level 3-3 is a bit brutal with the triple saws, especially since the rats get locked in once attacking, so you can't get them out of harm's way.

A fun entry tho, good work!

I think you replied to the wrong comment haha, thank you in any case for trying the game!

Thank you for your feedback! We tried to bring you a genuine (but not genuine enough to get DMCA'd) XP experience :)

No you're the evil tween! The adorable little bugs did nothing wrong D:

Thank you for playing! I love the absurdity and goofiness of your game, a polished one you got there :)

Thanks so much for playing!

Thanks so much for playing it! Yeah, a weakness of this submission is definitely the lack of tutorial. We just throw the player in there and hope they figure out the mechanics, which isn't the greatest game design probably hahaha

We definitely needed some sort of tutorial. But I am happy that you still had fun!

This is the result of a racecar enthusiast who's been playing Uma Musume lately and had one or two whiffs of cocaine during the fever dream that was this game's development.

(That's a compliment. Good work. 5 stars for Originality).

I love the idea of procedurally-generated critters, and you executed it in a super cute way! I would like that talking with customers was a bit clearer for the player, though. Potentially by: allowing the player to scroll through each critter part at their own pace, and/or labeling the name of each part since a few might be confusable such as eyes/cheeks/feet. Good work overall though!

Others have acknowledged it but so will I: visuals are fantastic!
