Great looking game! Tricky, but fun!

This seems to be a game from 2025—I do not see a more recent version. If so, this entry does not qualify, sorry.

The Toledo.codes MARCH GAME JAM is complete! Congratulations to the teams that submitted! I'm looking forward to playing your games :)

Just a bit over 2 days left as our end date nears. We're looking forward to seeing what kind of games were made, and how we can deal with the IMMINENT MELTDOWN.

Didn't get as far along as you had hoped? No worries! This is the anti-crunch game jam, meant to keep your idea focused. Now is the time to shed a few...features! Even if it doesn't get finished, even if it's missing some mechanics, we urge you to submit anyway. There's a small lock-in period while everyone reviews each other's projects, however after that period, you can always update your project here on itch to go even further than you were able to accomplish within the constraints of the game jam.

To those that are currently on track—nice work! Tell us your magical ways ;)

And the theme is...

MELTDOWN IMMINENT

3 days and counting for the reveal of the 'theme' (and the start of the Jam!). There's still time to join our Jam, tell a friend, or make a team. I'll see you on the other side!

This is the world I've been playing :) https://dev.aufdemdev.spaceport.host/w/test10

I tried my best to cover gameplay in the game description. Any suggestions on what to cover? The game plays really well with a friend, by the way. With another person, you each take turns being 'god'.

This game was nostalgic for me. It reminds me of Duke Nukem 2 :) Nice work! The game mechanic is absolute chaos.

Lot's of fun. It took me a few tries to find the winning combination. Well done!

Absolutely insane gameplay. I was laser focused on the center of the screen, trying to keep up. I still haven't won—haha. Excellent work on the graphics, they are awesome.

Great puzzle concept! It comes off as a modern pac-man. Graphics are clean, and nice work on getting sounds into your game. What's your build stack?

Coded with Spaceport (as backend/game server), using Javascript Canvas and a bunch of CSS. AI-assisted, mostly with the canvas code :)

UPDATE: Sorry, I seem to have botched the 'AI-Assisted' question -- if you don't mind putting whether it was hand-coded, ai-assisted, or vibe-coded in the submission comments, that would be cool! Please give each game a go starting tomorrow, through the end of the week to find our winners!

I'm also curious if anyone made something but MISSED the deadline. Let me know!

Thank you everybody for submitting. It's common that you are able to edit your games description/etc, but please have it in place over the next day. If there are any crippling bugs that you find within the next day, you are also free to update those. Voting will start soon, stay posted!

Thanks for sharing!

They can change.

Hello fellow coders! The Toledo.codes February Game Jam is about to start.

First—thank you for participating! Toledo.codes is about stimulating and supporting programmers by creating opportunities for individuals to engage with each other, and events and workshops to allow for developmental playgrounds. Whether you're using your tried and true stack, or you're trying something new, we hope that you learn something, but more importantly, that you have a good time. The 3 week window for development, tied with the constraint, is purposefully meant to even the playing field for even those that have a limited amount of time to dedicate to 'making a game'.

Optional, but recommended, is participating in the Discord. You can find that here: https://discord.gg/Jje5zWPfnh
This Discord is set up specifically for our Game Jams to facilitate communication and collaboration. Speaking to a more broad Toledo.codes organization, we also have www.toledo.codes as a hub of events going on in the Greater Toledo area, as well as a Slack for more broad conversations about tech with like-minded folks. We're a regional group, but always welcome others from outside our area.

Stay tuned for 2:00 to learn the 'theme'. Your game will need to reflect, in some way, this theme—executed along with the constraint of a 60-seconds game loop. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them here, or drop a line in the Discord.

Happy coding!

Pretty fun! Great twist on breaking the rules. Definitely became a brain teaser trying to keep the rules straight. Nice work!

A few days ago I completed my first ever solo game jam, something I've tried to do 10 times or more over the past few years. Today, I start this game jam with the goal being something I've been trying to do for 25 years. Make a ZZT game 🙂 Ah, such fond memories of Shareware.

Thank you!

Looking forward to playing this tomorrow when I have access to a Windows machine! :)

Nice pixel art. :)
