Oh, wow, thank you! I didn't want to bother you, lol, I was just expecting community responses - but I really appreciate your help.

I'm not a fan of crowds, even online, so I'll refrain from joining the discord, but thank you very much for the invite anyway. Thanks for making such a lovely game.

Hi,

I'm new to the game - I got the Bundle for Racial Justice that was running recently, and stumbled across this adorable game. I started playing last night. After progressing enough to get the bathroom, I've found that the ancient fern is my favorite kind of plant in the game, and I'm trying to breed them for more traits. I've perused the discussion board a little and found someone asking if a 5-star plant was possible (answer: yes, but unlikely), so I assume traits can go all the way up to 5. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how exactly they work, so I wanted to put my head together with someone else.

So far, I have 1- and 2-star ferns. Chief among them is my "mysterious" fern:

He has "an aura of mystery" and "fancy stem color". He's quite the looker. His code is 091 9135.

However, I haven't been able to replicate "an aura of mystery" in any other ferns, nor have I been able to deduce if "fancy stem color" is just a single color (it usually appears as pink, in other plants) or if there's separate blue and pink variants of "fancy stem color". I cloned him (as you can see on the right there) just to confirm that a single code would produce the exact same plant.

As it stands now, I'm tracking the codes of my plants based on rare and non-rare traits. Here are my questions:

1. Are "non-rare traits" even a thing? In other words, are the different "normal" stem and leaf colors also dictated by seed code?

2. Does the placement of a digit affect the resulting plant? Does order matter? Signs point to yes, but I want to confirm.

3. In your experience, how many digits are involved with a single trait? EX. Does a specific trait check for 2 digits, 3 digits, 4, or just 1? I'm trying to figure out how many possibilities I should be watching for.

Thanks!

I wasn't expecting a reply, but really incredibly grateful you made the effort. Heartwarming to see creators supporting creators. Your game is a joy, love the colors, love the lighting.

Hey, this looks really cool, but "freesound.org" isn't an attribution. It's a platform for audio people to share sounds they made, and attribution rules vary from user to user. You should track down the people who made your specific sounds and credit them instead.
