21 that you can unlock through the story and an additional 1 that has to be unlocked in the cheat room to use.

You most likely need to go into the northern section of the mine, bottom left corner of the main area to the left of the forgemaster's building, provided you already went into the eastern area and the armorsmith wasn't in his building.

The path you're talking about is to exit the forge completely and you aren't on that step yet.

It depends on which snake woman you're talking about, as there are several.  The common thread between all of them is the ability to apply the Frozen effect instead of being able to just stun them and no immunity to the Burn and Harsh Chill DoT effects. The Ancient Serpent also has no immunity against base stat debuffs like Defense and Magic Defense lowering effects. I tested the Crossroads update with Esthera, NaN, and Kushiel in the party so it is possible to down them though using Jin and Pierce for tank and healer may make things a lot easier depending on your party level.

Provided you haven't already completed it, you need to progress the main story by completing Venesh/Sarrina's quest by speaking to the butler in your home base, either rescuing Rose with Venesh or freeing the person that is imprisoned in the Crusader base with Sarrina. Once you've done that and finished exploring around the areas you unlock from doing so, going back to your home base will cause a message from the butler to pop up to speak to Claude which moves the storyline forward.

If you've reached the point after beating the demon that there's the king's messenger waiting back at your home base in the main room and the warning of "proceeding further will lock out other options", then you've finished Claude's quest.

If you've done all the core companion quests, which you pick up by talking to each character in their rooms, outside of Venesh/Sarrina and Claude which are forced for the main story, and have recruited the "optional" companion Esthera and done hers, then there should be two other NPC's in the world now. Sarcom is in the east garden area of Rockford to start that arc (Vena/Esthera quests completions needed) and Doanpra is in the gardens one screen above the college in Verdenhiem for that arc (NaN/Mira/Claude quests completions needed). Those are the other two main content releases that were put in after Tishna's.

There were a lot of smaller one off things there were scattered all along the way, such as the small demon group that you find during Claude's quest in that area of the world map and which unlocks something for another companion depending on choices that you can still go back and do and some stuff that was only available in act 1 like Zig. As long as you've done the main companion quests and explored around you should find most of the large stuff that's needed for the various companion endings.

That's the "cheat room". It was originally my controlled combat testing area for companions and equipment and the unreachable platform is still there for me to test bug fixes, but I added a bunch of stuff and allowed access back when the game first launched to make it so people didn't need to save edit for the most common things people would save edit for and potentially break their games in the process if they weren't sure how to do it. Either not wanting to play the game normally, as there's "dev" weapons (no, I didn't use them while testing the game), instant level up items, the companion Pierce well before you could unlock him as well as the ability to unlock a broken companion, and some various other stuff, or for people who want to test companions or equipment in a controlled area where you can't get a "game over" as you can get to the combat dummy and set some options. You can get inside with "Storytime" (no quotes, case sensitive). Keep in mind that equipping either of the weapons or using the other companion (not Pierce, he's fine to take at any point) you can unlock inside will stop you from being able to access the puzzle fights until you unequip them or go back and remove the special companion.

That would be a bug. It's supposed to allow you to remove her after you finish her personal quest with Iroka where she's required but it seems like the "unlock" coding broke at some point since the 2.0 release and no one mentioned it until your post. Putting together a fix now and will have it out in a bit.

Fix is now out. Download the 4.2 version, move your saves over, and then head onto the main Hin Su overworld map and she'll be unlocked and removable again.

As in they let you go "under" them and then not let you back out or you can't pass through them at all preventing you from getting into certain places like Feron's house entirely? If there are specific sticking points on that map I can do some tweaks but I'll need to know where they are.

After taking a look this morning, as I wasn't around my computer when I got notified about your post, I figured out what happened even if it shouldn't have broken the way that it did. It should be fixed in the newest version and I scrubbed through the other tilesets and found a few other situations that needed fixing as well.

It is intended. I wanted to avoid a cheesy "The End" screen so I went with a basic fade out and back to title instead.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm guessing you're in Act 2 as you're trying to do companion quests so by shard event you mean confronting Ashendal in Eldracil? If so then you open Vena's skills on any major town map or the overworld and you should find a skill called "Recall" at the bottom. That will take you back to your base. If you chose to take the shards back in Eldracil and you have the Rockford home you can also walk inside by heading to the Church area of Rockford and taking the first path south.

The Fae Lands needs you to take the green portal on the lower left side of the teleport room back in the base. Once you complete Esthera's companion quest you can freely go back and forth but it's locked until you complete that.
