I still don't actually know what I did wrong the first time but I got it working on my actual project and it's PERFECT!!!! I know you say attribution isn't required but is there a particular name/username/etc that you would want me to put down?

OK so replacing every single file worked (rather than just putting in the ones you said to in another comment) so now I just have to figure out how to get it to work on my actual project.... and make a backup first. It's sooooo pretty I have to use it lol

I hope you're enjoying me liveblogging my issues lol. But I managed to get it back to just erroring on the project I put the GUI template into,,,,, I literallt just undid everything I did so I'm back to exactly where I started. I'm going to try starting a new project and see if it's still messing uo. 

so in my attempts to fix this I think I broke the entirety of ren'py. uhhhhhh. Based on this, I'm not actually 100% sure if the error is even related to this GUI template???? I hate troubleshooting

This looks really pretty, but I'm struggling to get it to work in a project. I put the files in, tried to play it, and got this error:

Exception: store._console.traced_expressions is being given a default a second time.

I can share more of the details of the error if needed, but based off the multiple comments praising this GUI it's definitely a mistake on my end lol.

It should have exported with the pck file, but apparently that feature is a little broken right now lol. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! This should work, I tested it on another computer, but I don't entirely know what I'm doing lol. as you may be able to tell

when I say spots I struggled to get through, I mean like small spaces and those smaller gaps

This was fun! I didn't get very far because I suck at both 2D platformers and WASD controls lol, but I really liked the visuals! I did find there were a few spots I struggled to get through, but that could again be because I suck at these sorts of games lol. Great job overall though!
