The player and spike are both square hitboxes, but the collision hitbox is smaller than the visual to prevent unfair deaths when the player barely grazes a spike. If we remade it, we'd probably expand the hitbox size but the spikes were a last-minute addition so we didn't have that much time to polish them. An earlier prototype required holding the button to drill, but it felt much less responsive than the new version so we changed it. The new version is also better for the sections where you have to spam through blocks.

Very creative game based on an interesting concept. It was really fun to try time my escape so I got the maximum money and left with 0 time. The shooting was fun but I kinda wish you didn't get slowed down on high money because the movement was very satisfying at the start. The siren sound was really effective at building my imersion and I am excited to play parts 2 and 3. Well done.
Very cute game. When I played it a second time, I really missed the penguins but at least I had the cat in the sky to keep me company. The night was a really nice touch to signal when my time was running out. I just wishedd I had more to photograph in the 60 seconds because I found myself finished and waiting for the time to end.
It was very satisfying trying to track down the correct number, especially when I was able to snipe them from across the screen. I liked how you only included a few incorrect numbers because having 100 spaceships to go through would have been annoying. It was cool how the indicator of where to go doubled as a crosshair. I just wished it didn't change direction when the spaceships looped because it was annoying having to double back on myself to find a spaceship that crossed from one side of the map to another. A boost function would've been cool too. Still, I really like this game and would love to see it expanded in the future.
