Thank you for your review, here is some clarification:
The giant sea monsters are waves, which carry candles (the source of wax).
We didn't have time to finish the volume slider, as our main laptop only revived in the last hours, and we could not implement the music before it died...
Some other people said that the music is strange, too, but it gets more interesting as you reach further (we even got a review "I upgrade my wings to make the music better.").
