Hey there! First, let me say, i really like this game! Its not perfect but damn, does the ocean look good! Props to that, i really like the saphire/emerald look it has. Never get tired of looking at it. Also love the sounds, make it really immersive. I only got my first upgrades now (had a lot of bad luck with the winds, so i am super happy seeing the trinkets you put in) and have some things i'd recommend you improve to get out the full potential of this game:
- In the browser version, when i press ESC i am thrown out of full screen, its a bit annoying. I did finf a way to go around that by pressing L to close the Log / port menu thing, but sometimes i forget and its bad.
- The float collectables look ugly tbh, maybe you can give them a bit more shape? Like, the barrels are only two shapes and a bar, it should at least be three to make it look round.
- And what are those lines at the sides of the ship? Rigging? It looks... well not so great. i'd rather se more of the ocean.
- Also, some sounds are really loud and some are not. I did turn up the scenery sounds and that helped but where are the other ones? Please let me also adjust them...
Other than that, i think you build something really great and i hope you'll work on it some more! In the meanwhile i'll explore a bit more and get myself that trinket to control the damn winds!
