I really enjoyed playing this after I got used to the controls ^^ i would also look forward to a proper ending (i reached the top with a little bit of health left and died touching a cactus)

The artstyle is very cute! It gives me nostalgia for some cartoons. Character and monster designs are also really nice. I did have some difficulties with the screen size. I think my monitor isn't high enough and I couldn't resize the game window itself. I don't know if there was UI at the bottom telling me how far I was with defeating enemies or having points ^^' Another thing I noticed was that I could cheat by waiting and just shooting up because enemies would collect at the wall and come down.
All in all, I think this is a very cute game that can have a lot of potential ^^ Good job!!
Nice game ^^ I really like the concept of being inside a tree and fighting to save it (tho I'm a little sad that the enemies are bees because I like bees... but that's just a personal thing. You don't have to listen to that). I did find a little "bug" where if I let a bee chase me for a while she gets stuck in her box and I can attack from a safe distance while she stand there ^^'
Even though it's still a prototype there is so much to explore and so many little interactions! I think it turned out very cute and it has a lot of potential to become a great cozy game! <3
I also really like the different minigame ideas and transitions from one place to another (also love the grandma cat dearly) ^^
thank you very much for your kind words! ^^ this is my fourth solo jam and I like to write down what I thought at the moment. also, thanks for all the art compliments! I am still new to coding so I try to lean into my strenghts to make the game somewhat enjoyable. and there are two bunnies hidden in the background ;) are they real? are they cake? I don't know either xD
I really love the bats (also Batthew is a great name). I also really liked the making of the candy ^^
I do feel like the art assets are a little disorienting with how different they are (in terms of line thickness, color palette and temperature, and texture...) but that's just a nickpicky thing for me. All in all, I think this is a good entry ^^
