(I dropped everything just to play this game as soon as I could, as fast as I could.)
After beating(?) the game I can say this blows V0.15 out of the water! The choice in music was great, the UI SFX were a pretty good touch, the enemy/player sprites are wonderfully done. The combat is both much easier and delightfully frustrating. The action line no longer blurs as it scrolls across (my) screen, but it feels like you have a much slimmer margin of error to do an action right, especially in the latter half of the full scan. I noticed that I would use basic strategy, rather than mindlessly clicking. I'm curious as to whether or not that will be expanded upon.
I do think I stumbled upon a glitch. I don't know what's on the OpenNSFW audio library or what you used from it, but I don't think I heard anything that would be assumed to be from there.
One thing I would like to see expanded upon is the baby woomie. It can't stay in there doing nothing forever! Like, they could be used as a sort of companion type thing that accompanies woomie into a scan. They can be set up beforehand to have a certain skill that changes up gameplay. I don't know, I feel the games biggest problem is the sudden halt in progression once the full scan is complete and all the upgrades are gotten. I just feel like the game could have way more to it than just "Make woomie's belly big!"
Sorry for the huge wall of text and probably unwanted suggestions, I just care about this game a lot. Possibly too much.
EDIT: I figured out where you put the Open NSFW SFX. I also found an easter egg???
I finished the 0.15 version and I think it's a great step in the right direction!
The new enemy sprites were a surprise, can't wait to see what you do with those!
The performance mode was a good idea and I think it accidentally became an "easy-mode", as, on my computer, performance mode made timing hits/dodges very easy compared to when it's off; the timing cursor would get blurry on my screen and made it harder to time moves. Might be something you can add intentionally in the future to add to status effects like infect.
I kind of liked the "Endless mode" when you beat the last stage. It's a nice addition, even if for a little bit until full scan comes out.
Can't wait to see what the next update brings!
--*EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm really happy Flagging actually works this time! It never seemed to work in the original version (at least for me), so for it to work in this one is really awesome.
I FINALLY BEAT THE GAME!!!!!
That last level is so freaking hard, but it was so exhilarating! And that's crazy to me, since most games of this caliber usually sideline interesting gameplay in favor of a far more sexual art direction than this game.
Speaking of art, this is probably the only "gooner game" I've played that restrains itself and keeps it relatively vanilla. Beauty in simplicity and all that.
I am super excited to see where you go next with this game!
Despite the pregnancy aspect taking a bit of a back seat, I do think this is one of the better, tasteful looking games submitted.
The gameplay is pretty good but I'm not really a fan of the random damage rolls occasionally being a little unfair. I also think the enemies do way more damage than Woomie in a singe turn and that makes the later half of the game feel super one-sided and unfair, but that could just be a skill issue on my end.
I have only one suggestion that hasn't been said by at least 10 other people and it's to please add keyboard support! At least the spacebar! Some of us are better button smashers than clickers.
Overall I think this game has the potential to be a really awesome game mechanic-wise (The art direction is 10/10 no notes) and I hope you do more with it after the game jam.
EDIT: I just remembered a suggestion I think would be a nice potential addition to the game later on: A mode selector. So anyone that wants to take it easy can do so (i.e, easier timing window, higher earnings per scan, less punishing failures.), and anyone who wants a little more of a challenge can select a harder mode. You could even have it so that players have to roll for a random penalty in harder modes.
