I love how simple, but focused and effective this game is. Using an interface that's normally associated with musical rythm games, you skillfully captured the feeling of praying desperately in the dark. It's a perfect marriage of mechanics and emotions. The pixel graphics were spare and effective and the sound design was very rich and immersive. Very elegant! This was a perfect game jam game.

Very ambitious game jam game! Great job telling an entire story! Good use of the themes with the signs as a core part of the narrative. I liked the side scrolling environments. They have a great sense of depth. I was impressed by the blurry elements in the foreground that add to the atmosphere without obscuring the gameplay. The character designs and story sequence art were very nice too.
WOW what a beautiful game! Great concept and execution! Really cool loop between playing as a single soldier defending the fort and the team manning the giant gun. I love how you executed on the theme of not being able to see. It's so eerie staring into the dark knowing the enemy is advancing out of sight. That is until you fire your giant cannon and blow up their ships and see them backlit against the flames. A really striking, iconic image. Really one of the most memorable images I've seen in a game in a long time! So impressive! It's amazing you created this in less than a week! Everything about this is so impressive. The game design, the art direction, the sound design, the compelling historical setting, it's all so solid. Excellent work!
Wow this is so polished and complete! I'm so impressed that you got so much done in a week! Love the mix of horror with fast, fun shooting! Really amazing atmosphere from the great sound design and lighting. Loved the music choices too! Even the ending was tastefully done with the nice dialog timed perfectly with the music and panning image. So impressive! Please keep making games together!
Great game! A very complete package! Great concept, great execution, great sense of humor, great fun! Im really impressed with how it all came together. I think that's one of the hardest and most impressive things you can do in games (or any medium) is when everything fits together so well. The combination of Fruit Ninja + serving was really clever. And the way you get different items from slashing different parts of the body was great. And it was so intuitive which customers would want which item (Vampire = blood from the neck, zombies = brain from the head, and my favorite was the Krasue who wants poop lol). And the final twist of different levels of decay added more challenge without making the game more complex to understand. Everything was very intuitive. I think if you spend some more time polishing the game you could have a small hit on your hands! Really impressive work! I hope you all keep making games together!
Super impressive game. You guys really nailed the PS1 aesthetic way beyond the surface level. You have a very good understanding of low poly modeling and even emulated the strange texture warping and tearing that the actual PS1 hardware had. But it's more than nostalgia, you took advantage of the low poly PS1 aesthetic to make a very very surreal game. The art direction is excellent. Great mix of horror and comedy with a genuinely surreal and unsettling mood. This game had so much personality! Great work!
This was one of the COOLEST games at the game jam. It has a really nice, surreal, dreamlike, dark mood. The art direction is solid and the sound design is excellent. I really liked the lighter mechanic. How you have to strike it several times to light it. It FEELS GOOD. That's my favorite kind of mechanic in games, something that has strategic value that also just simply feels good to do. Game feel is so important! You mentioned this is your first game as a game designer and you've only been using Unity for what, 2 weeks? That's crazy! You're off to a great start! You have a real talent for game design, please keep it up!
Great job! I'm so impressed you got such a complete gaming experience finished in one week! This was one of the most fun to watch games I've ever seen at a game jam! The basic premise is nice. The graphics are genuinely spooky, but I love how everything is laced with humour. The multiple endings and voice acting are such a nice touch. Surprisingly polished! And I like how THAI the game feels through and through. I hope this team keeps making games together! You clearly work very well together!
Super impressive game for a game jam! Making a competitive online multiplayer game was really ambitious, but you pulled it off so well! Great premise and great execution! My favorite aspect of the game is how when one player turns into the bull/folklore, the other player has to pretend to be an NPC to survive! That kind of asymmetric pressure is so funny! I'm really impressed that this was SpaghettiSanz's first game too! You're off to a great start! I hope the two of you keep making games together (great job BogBog!)
This game was really impressive for a Gam Jam game! Very complete! I like how you took the classic story of the 3 Little Pigs and translated that into gameplay so meaningfully. My favorite part was how at the end, rather than have the pig inside the house, the house does the fighting! That cracked me up. Great twist, exactly the kind of spontaneous decision that you'd only commit to in a Game Jam!
