I’ll keep that in mind for future games. Didn’t think it was necessarily in development because I already knew the mechanics 😔

That makes much more sense, thank you! I haven't played kirby 64, so that is probably why.

Amazing game very good job. The platforms being 3d but 2d was so cool. I didn't fully understand how absorbing skills worked, a tutorial on different skills and where to get them would be helpful. I had a lot of fun just running around intentionally not finishing the level, it played like more of a puzzle enemy fighting game than a platformer. Would love to see it expanded on. Great work!

It kept me engaged the entire way to completion and I would've loved to see more! The art and audio were very generic to platformers. I liked the implementation of the theme as a puzzle mechanic especially collection the platforms. The tutorial was good but left out the E key which is very essential. The level design was very interesting and left me waiting for more. I loved being able to place in only 4 directions it really added to the challenge. My biggest gripe is just the lack of levels, nice job!

It was a very fun little game.  I enjoy the concept of burning memories and it fits well with the theme however just the bar did not really put any power behind losing memories. Maybe a sound effect or animation?  The time did not seem to affect gameplay at all. It also seems you can get cases where finishing the game is entirely impossible. Overall, the art and vibe were really nice, and I spent quite a while playing the game. Good job!

I love the look and sounds of the game it has a very cute style! I figured out how it worked after a bit of playing however a tutorial would be very useful if not a necessity.  The theme seems a bit weak, although that might be me not fully understanding the game. I'm very interested in card game and would love to see this expanded on after the jam, great work!

I’m aware of the balancing issues, unfortunately I did not manage my time well and thus had no balancing check. Lesson learned for the future. 😔

Thanks! I was planning on making the enemies kill eachother but I struggled a bit and ended up giving up on that idea, I might try to implement it after the jam. Nice job getting on the leaderboard!

I never thought of mouse only control, could be a good idea! Yes i didn't have the time to make the ai smarter so i just covered it up with more bullets. lol

wow nice job on first, thank you for enjoying!!

(1 edit)

Sorry for the broken leaderboard, I'll push a fix.

Sorry about that, I was having some troubles building for WebGL. It's there now.

Very interesting idea, definitely seems rushed though. Are you planning on adding a screen after you die that says you score and highscore?

Very great game and I love the way you interpreted the theme, my only issues is that the game is very difficult.

This definitely shows what you can do with scratch. You used a great art style as well.

yeeeaaaa, I kinda forgot that scratch runs at 30 fps whereas httml5 can run a lot faster and that made the movement a little faster than expected. But it makes it much more difficult so in my opinion that makes it better

As for the leaving the game running problem, I spent 45 minutes on that and just figured out all the ways I could break the game. and after that I didn't want or have the time to experiment with adding more moving parts.

if you read through the whole jam description...

First off I want to say that no, I am not using scratch. But i was wondering if it would be allowed to make games using scratch as it is considered a game engine if you are using it to make games, and in the jam guidelines it says that all game engines are allowed.
