Because the devs haven't seen fit to address it anywhere, I feel like somebody needs to warn new players that in chapter nine, the game switches from high-quality rendered art (as seen in all the artwork thus far) to some middling quality AI images that lack in internal consistancy. The character's features change wildly between images to the point of only being able to recognize them by their clothing or in context.

It is a noticable and unfortunate dip in quality. That change was not clearly communicated to Patreon members or buyers here on Itch, which is disappointing.

I have been tossing links to this game to all my queer gamer friends, because it truly is off to a great start. Mystery, fantasy and sexy guys are such a rare combination and Canticle takes all three makes them more than the sum of their already good parts.

Those of us who play on iPad bless you for your non-keyboard UI masking. :D

A great start. I can see all kinds of interesting ways things could go. Also, the diversity of models (all of them hot) is excellent. I can't wait to see more.

This was a cute and fun little game. Once you figure out how to make money, it is easy to take a few days off to learn crafting and casting and not have to worry about it.

Next try, seeing if I can whup up on the Dandy Lion. :D
