Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback. There is a "How to Play" button on the menu screen that kind of alludes to what triggers the lightning, and I felt that outright saying the exact things would be a bit too easy, but I have seen a lot of comments on this so I think it is fair to have something a little more clearer.

Thanks for playing! Can I ask what your resolution is? I see the things got offset and I probably forgot to account for that.

Thanks for playing the game! I appreciate the thorough feedback. I will say though that the lightning is not actually random. I did intend for it to be a little difficult as I wanted to catch people off guard, but I would say it is "fair" once you notice the pattern. A hint I will say (and it technically says this if you click the "how to play" in start screen) but the items you mentioned all have different timings, so the goal is to figure that out. I realize I could have pointed that out a little more clearly but where's the fun in that.

Also funny game design peek behind the curtain but actually the lightning always strikes your position. If you have the jar out then it goes to it and you get points, if not it strikes the other side and you lose a life.

I agree that figuring out that there is a pattern to begin with is not well communicated but I thought it would be too easy if I pointed out the exact timings.

I can't tell if the way the spikes move is meant to be a troll but sometimes they move in an avoidable way that I feel like they know my next move before I make it. Fun though.

I got outside the walls and then the guard saw me through the door and his pathfinding was too powerful and he wouldn't let me back in. I made him dance and that made me laugh.

Fun, and I liked the switching mechanic. I know it would trivialize it some but swapping to the guy and having it be not where the cursor was felt unintuitive. I also felt like I kept hitting the wrong button (swap when I meant to strike) and so not being able to then switch back on the intended target was annoying, but technically a skill issue. Overall fun though.

I shocked the cat. Now I am unsure what to do next. Interesting vibe, I like the style. I fell down the hole on the first try and was stuck.

Thank you for playing! The menu has its fair share of help and secrets. That's a pretty good score!

Fun and simple, very well polished. I liked the variety of animals and their sounds. There was a few times I swear I was gonna lose but it hung on 0.0 for a little extra so I passed which was kinda funny tbh.

Sorry thought I hit save on the rating just did it!

Qbert meets Fall Guys final game mode. I wish there was a way to be more determinate about how the enemy falls rather than just wait them out. Also they would just spawn on top of me and take a life. Interesting concept though.

Really cool concept and implementation, feels like a fun game to try and get a high score. I'm not a huge fan of the music as I felt it started very loud and conflicted with focusing, but gameplay was fun.

Simple and fits the theme and constraints well. Borderline troll level on some.

Yeah the autofire is probably a good add for later, I just liked hitting space, felt reminiscent of an arcade system. The center bug I plan to fix just funny people tried that. And yeah I may flush this out more and add powerups and such, the rainbow color idea is interesting.

(1 edit)

I think having sound in browser would be nice since a lot of people don't like to download games per se from itch unless they fully trust the source. I like the look of the game but I flew off from the system and traveled endlessly through the void alone with my thoughts, so 10/10 scary game.

EDIT: I read the comment that said you are supposed to stay near the sun and tried that, more engaging but I felt 1 small error and boom, crash or lost in space. I am curious, how far were you able to get yourself, or is there a trick that it useful?

Cool idea and effects. Would it be wrong to say the movement feels floaty, haha. I do think it feels a tad tooooo slippery. I felt the enemies spawning in made me think I could hurt them and I was sad I couldn't yet and had to wait. I like the aesthetic and the bubbles.

I really love the vibe. I like how you used the shapes to make the environment. I did feel at times I would be trying to control the ball in the air and the second I hit a surface I'd speed up disproportionately, but maybe that's a skill issue. Fun Game.

Thanks for playing!

Those are some great ideas for adding some extra juice later, though I'll have to be careful with how much because you can kill a lot at once.

Thanks!

No one had done that in our friend group but I know exactly why that happens code wise, so thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing and the feedback.

Yeah I thought about that but I liked the tactile feeling of pressing a bunch, but totally understand. I may adjust later as I was planning to add touch controls and an auto fire makes sense there.

The groundwork for procedural construction is present in this package but due to a weird error involving something that shouldn't be a user data type is and even when checked for doesn't seem to work. Plan to update.
