Speaking as someone who has been through the mental ups and down of life and still receiving professional help... You are making the right decision. Taking care of yourself first should always be paramount to anything else.
Those dark thoughts come on like a wave and stay with you a bit. But when you finally get a respite, however brief, and look at it with fresh perspective, you realize you are glad that you didn't do anything drastic and find things in life that help you move on and keep up the fight.
Being up front and honest about it will help manage expectations from people you are worried about disappointing. If anyone doesn't understand that you are just a single person, then they need to do some soul-searching.
Please take care of yourself and come back when you are healthy and ready, however long that takes. Wishing you success in the journey.

Hope you get well soon Runey! My whole household got the ick here for about 2 weeks.
As far as secondary content, my vote would be for more interactions with the side girls in the house. Like perhaps a nice scene of various side girls doing laundry since that room is rarely used. Give it more of a purpose to visit it.
Also, getting drunk and passed out always confused me. Perhaps you could have the MC accidentally stumble into one of the other rooms or have Maria or Moon take advantage of the situation.
Adding more outfits for purpose or maybe utilizing some of the other areas for cams could be a good quick add-on for secondary content. I always enjoyed building up money to buy the new things to test them out.
I did do some of the gardening, but perhaps it could be explained a little better since I lost track of what I was doing there. Maybe I am the only one?
I always look forward to what you add next and always find enjoyment in how you write the character development. Don't doubt your creativity, and find your muse to push through.
Please take care of your well being. As someone who goes through mental depression from time to time, I can honestly tell you that it sucks and you have to remember the celebrations of the happy times.
On that note, whenever I see an update for HH, it gives me joy no matter how big or small. The world you have created and the character development within in fantastic and deserves praise.
As far as pricing goes, I know that 5" figures usually go anywhere between $15-$30, but those are not hand painted. I would say take your cost, add 60% markup (average consumer markup), and then $15 an hour per figure. But that is just my opinion. [I've had many years of Sales experience to know this].
I hope you get well soon and look forward to another piece of the masterpiece you are building!
It's all good. Taking time out to handle affairs and also deal with your mental health is a positive thing. Us lowly consumers can wait for a talented creator since not many people understand the creative process.
I wish the best and look forward to when you can get back to giving us more of the story. :)
As someone who suffers from Mental Health issues, I can tell you that what you just did here is positive. Things happen in life that are not in your control and you have to make the best out of what hand you are dealt. This is why it is important to celebrate the little wins just as well as major victories to give you anchors along the way when bad things happen.
I really do hope for the best outcome for your mom, as I am sure most of us here do as well. You have to remember to take care of yourself though. You can't help anyone else if you are unable to help yourself. Something that has taken me quite a while to learn...
Perhaps later down the road, you might feel up to putting a little buddy for the MC to interact with that pays homage to your bunny. I have had many experiences in my years dealing with the inevitable annihilation that waits to greet us all and the best way I have found to cope is to find some way to immortalize memories. Be it simply visiting an area that used to be our spot, to making a prized dish from a passed on recipe, little things help us remember the good times and can give us that little shoulder we need to keep moving forward by providing a great memory of better times.
Here's hoping you can find some happiness and that you get to feeling better.
Sounds like good timing indeed! Did you know though, historically most things get a release for Tuesday or Wednesday? It has to do with press coverages being insane on Weekends and Monday is usually catching up with the weekend.
I used to work as a manager at a Music Store (that will date me), and also at an Electronics Boutique. About 98% of all new releases came out on Tuesdays. Always thought it was dumb until I learned about the press release thing.
Thanks for the info, but I try to stay off sites that could possibly distribute malware. I'm enjoying this game and the story, so if the Dev wants to add a paywall to play the latest version, I agree they should be paid for their time.
I'm just not keen on the whole Patreon thing and how they do business, which is why I choose itch.
So sorry to hear about this. My condolences. :( Please take the time to heal and grieve, mental health is important. Having dealt with death a lot in my short time on this planet, I can tell you it never gets easier.
The best thing you can do is honor the memory, drink to the good times, and cry out in pure emotion amongst those you can trust.
I wish you the best in healing during this trying time.
Project management can be a "B" sometimes. It is important to know your limits and stick to a schedule you can handle. Trust me, I know from experience. Your creation is coming along great and has more content than most games do already. Knowing this, take your time and take care of yourself. Those of us who have been with you are not going anywhere and understand that the creative process takes time.
After all, we are just normies and not creating. Keep up the fantastic work and take time for yourself!
All your ideas sound excellent. I have seen other games use similar mechanics and would love to see how you implement them with your flair.
On the side, a safe room would be a cool idea to build in. Think of people coming to get either the MC or maybe hunting the elves where they could hide away if needed. I have now finished catching up with playthrough from fresh install and the progression works great imo.
Keep up the great work and remember to take care of yourself. :)
Much love Runey. Thank you for the fantastic game! I always keep coming back to check for updates. I think the story is great by the way. Tying things together, building realistic and believable characters who ACTUALLY HAVE AN OPINION on life and not just stay one way the whole way.
I like how the characters are going through life changing experiences and are gaining newfound outlooks. It keeps the game fresh and not stale. Don't listen to the other haters, even if they mask it as being "constructive".
