Amen brother! Thank you <3

You can add me on discord "Add me as a friend on Discord! Invite expires in 1 week: https://discord.gg/F63UqnxN" Alternatively my username is "archaicvirus." With the dot at the end. If you have any questions about the source code or the way tic80 works I can assist.

To be honest, I've been heavily invested in another game project for some time now, and haven't had the will to maintain this game, unfortunately. I do appreciate you taking the time to report the bugs.

As far as I'm aware the biology pack should be unlockable under normal circumstances, as I've tested the entire research tree to completion multiple times. However, due to possible bugs somewhere in the game logic, there may be a situation where the biology pack requirements somehow get corrupted or otherwise soft locked. My apologies, I can understand how frustrating it must be to get so far and lose your progress. I will try to look into the bugs when I get time, but honestly I might forget or put it off. Feel free to look through the source code on GitHub, if you find any specific issues Id be happy to approve a pull request. It's all coded in lua, which if you know any programming is a very easy language to learn. Thanks for playing and bug reporting 🙏

Thank you! This was my first major release, and unfortunately I haven't made time to bugfix or polish it at all. I immediately started working on my dream game project (survival game in a procedural universe, similar to Starbound in scope) after the demake, and have been putting all my time into it since. I imagine the 'buggy' gameplay (according to users) and the overall lack of features from the original contribute to the demake's unpopularity. I did of course open-source the project, so that anyone can add features/mods, or just do bugfixing. Thanks again! It's nice to know someone was impressed :)

Thank you very much! <3

Understood, and thanks for the quick reply!

Nice work! Can these be used for commercial projects?

Thank you! I will be sure to credit you for your great work!

Thanks for making this! I have used some of the textures as a base (all since modified) to create different complete tilesets. Is it OK to sell these tilesets?

*For clarity, the tilesets I wish to sell do not contain any of the original unmodified textures. The mods I made include shifting hue, cutting out edges for borders, and outlining the cutout areas. Also small tweaks were handmade to each base texture as well as palette application.

Thanks for playing! Unfortunately, tic80 only has 1024 bytes of persistent save memory, so it's not possible to save the state of your factory given the amount of game objects that would need to be stored,  not to mention items on belts, inside machine inventories etcetera. I could possibly add an option to save your research progression, but that wouldn't fit under the original intention of the game, which was to be a simple (as possible) demake, with an arcade-style session in mind. I will look into the bug you mentioned as soon as I get the chance. Thank you for reporting!

If you can send the screenshot, then I'll take a look as soon as I can. Thanks for reporting!

Thanks for the screenshot,  and what were the events leading up to the crash?

Could you provide some screenshots of the issues you were experiencing? I wasn't able to reproduce them  on my end. The biology pack is indeed a crafting recipe... you have to unlock it through research, and also unlock its pre-requisite research first.

Greetings! My apologies if you ran into any bugs. If you could please describe any issue in detail and post any screenshots or error messages, I will look into it and fix asap. Thanks for playing!

Development Update: Working on complete re-write of tool. Separating settings into 'tool' windows, and allowing for hand placement of vines, leaves, fruits, etcetera. (Will also still allow for  procedural distribution of course) Also adding better looking default textures, a better vine algorithm that allows for multiple colors and also allows placement of fruit/flowers along the vine. I am adding more control over the trunk and branch generation by additional parameters, and a complete rewrite of the 'growth' algorithm for both. Stay tuned for version 2!
