Pretty sure iOS has a fee to put something on the app store (assuming it even meets the requirements), and sideloading onto an Apple device is such a painful thing to do for the average player as it is, the iOS audience is likely an extreme minority. Best bet is to get a cheap, used Samsung, no fees or painful "sideloading" on most Android devices.

while it is a minority, there are androids that can run games like genshin impact at max settings with a smooth 60fps, but again, minority, so not exactly a much larger audience youd reach if you dropped an apk
