(v1.05)
For anyone wondering about the codex entries and how to get them..
Yes, you do need to defeat enemies for the first three notes; that being the white information text and the blue text from Maggie. The requirement to unlock these three logs differ in number. I think most of the Level 1 enemies require 10 logs while Level 2 requires 20 so I'm gonna assume Level 3 might be 30 logs or a little bit less, no idea.
The player notes or the 'purple notes' is a bit of a mystery to me. Sirlzike said you'd need to be defeated by the enemies and receive a mark for the purple notes to appear but I've done like 5 hours of just doing exactly that and then some with Spi-Ware and M.ARM that it just never works lmfao so they might be bugged.
In regards to farming logs, you can constantly reboot a save and just farm logs that way since they carry across all saves. Doing bounties gives two every time so you can have a save for when you first unlock the bounty system and just rinse-and-repeat.
Bug Report:
- If you're still marked by a boss or assassin (Maximum Security) type enemy, you can softlock yourself when you try and show/hide your undersuit or core then back out. (Can still open main menu for options)
- Don't know if its for NG+ (when you unlock everything first playthrough) or when you first start but enemy pathfinding is botched when you keep the Ty'r Neidr ability on once you get energy.
- Don't know if it's intentional but the gallery doesn't show the special blue-variant of the Q.Cell during the Basilisk bossfight.
- Of course, as I mentioned earlier. There's a good chance some enemy purple logs are bugged since I've tried getting them for SOOO LOOOONG and they never showed up. The only ones I'm aware of are the SPI-WARE and the M.ARM but there could be more. But to save you time, here are some entries where I do have purple logs:
- Scanner
- Siphon
- Q.Cell
- GHO5T
- Basilisk
- KWK
- PAX-1
- WorkSpy
- HUNTRESS
- I.Z.
- Don't know how I managed this but I have 46/25 Log Progress. :>
All in all, great game! Loved the direction the story and gameplay goes with this one and is definitely refreshing to have a female protagonist. I do wish that the UI was a little more intuitive since I have literally no idea what the fuck AP does and have only ever paid attention to EN and my overall stability but even then it took me a while to actually understand what they did and how EN works for the CORES.
On top of that, the conveyors are a bit of a death sentence at times, especially in Level 2 at the bottom where there is a room with two conveyors on the side leading to a camera. I, for the life of me, could not get myself unstuck from there since it resets you inside the belt, making you walk to either end and then it forces you to travel the belt, leading me to constantly go back to the camera and looping lmfao. Eventually figured a way and also (I kid you not) found out you can walk on the belts without needing to go through the entry points on my THIRD PLAYTHROUGH.
