Thank you for sharing your journey. We all hit rough patches — and I appreciate that you’re doing what you can to support your mental health and personal creativity.

Thank you! Definitely let me know when you make your Bitsy and I will check it out!

Oh my gosh. Thank you so much for your kind words. I will have to check out your Bitsy projects!

Well done!

Cat vs fungi! So much fun.

Great work! I really love the way this builds tension and how the discordant music and sound effects help to support that tension. Well done!

What a great slow burn of a horror story.

Thank you so much! That’s extremely helpful.

Thank you!

Awesome!

Yeah, it’s a limitation of Bitsy. Thank you so much for playing.

Oh my goodness, that is high such high praise. Thank you!

Thank you for playing (and trying it out on mobile, too). I’m so glad you enjoyed it. :D

Hah. Yeah, I think it worked out. Thanks for playing!

Thank you!

My pleasure!

Thank you so much.

I enjoyed the concept of this, but fond it really easy to get through the semester without any real problems. I always seemed to have a high amount of money and wellbeing without much effort. I almost feel that the consequences for working a lot should be higher.

Also, I found the presence of images (sunflower, etc.) behind the text often made it difficult (and sometimes impossible) to read. I wish a plain background of some sort was there instead, making it easier to read and move forward in the game.

Yay! Thanks!

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! :D

Thank you so much! I’m so grateful you went on this journey with me. :D

Thank you, Daniel! I’m planning to leave this as a free game, since I want it to be an easily accessible portfolio piece.

You’re welcome. I’m glad you found it helpful.

Thanks for playing! I’m so glad the surprise was effective. :)

I feel like I need to get a controller to really play this game properly, but it looks wonderful from top to bottom and I can’t wait to see the final version.

The story is essentially finished, but I definitely have some polishing that I’d like to do. During the end sequence, I’d like to add some visuals that show the entity is escaping/leaking through the gate — and I’m working with someone on creating some music to the game to add to the ambiance.

There’s also some small things, like tightening up some of the text and using some hacks so that the avatar changes direction based on where you’re walking and so on.

Thank you so much for your feedback — and I’ll try to fix what I can. I’m definitely running up against some limitations in working with Bitsy. I can understand how that would be frustrating… let me ponder that some more.

The number of text boxes at the beginning, though — that’s something that I can definitely work on tightening up.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’m working on getting some music going. Thank you for telling me about the issue with the cutscenes. That’s particularity of designing with Bitsy. It doesn’t just let me put in dialog for the cut scenes, so I have to “hide” the avatar and have it interact with something. I may be stuck with it, but will look into some possible hacks to get around it.

Thank you! I’m so glad you found the options to continue playing helpful. It was important to me to make it as easy as possible for people to get back into the game.

Fun game! I dig the stylized colors that match the tone of the story being told. Also has some great moments that make the choices feel impactful.

A very interesting concept for a game, especially since mental health is so important.

While I found the therapy sessions interesting and they provided avenues to explore the mental health concepts you’re talking about, I sometimes felt overwhelmed by seeing each wall of text during the session. You might consider trimming those sections down — or another option might be to break those sections up into smaller segments on the screen. The player would have to click more, but the amount of text on one the screen would feel more bite sized.

Fantastic work! I loved this narrative and the characters. I was completely captivated from the start.

I adored this. From the art to the music to the story, it hits on all levels.

Playing Procrastination Simulator to procrastinate on making my own game. Sounds about right.

In all seriousness, though, this was definitely fun. I enjoyed exploring to find some of the different endings.

Weird and unsettling. I loved the abstract effect of the art, music, and text.

Yeah, it’s a fantastic tool. There’s so many other good ones, too, that I’d like to try out.

It’s such a fun development tool — and it is consuming all my free time. lol.

Probably it would have been smarter to have started with a simpler game. It’s possible to make one in a single room — but mine is like dozens of rooms large. (I just can’t help myself.)

Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it enough to keep playing. It made my day.
