This was such an emotional rollercoaster. It was upsetting, depressing, anger-inducing and so damn funny. The Ritariffic scenes (especially the birhtday one) all had me groaning so much - the sanitised, safe liberal slop so perfectly highlighted by the internet discourse around it, the production background and Leslie's comments. Leslie's life is just so bleak it hurts. He is always defined by everyone around him - his mother, the staff, Rita, the audience of his movie and film critics/journalists (damn you John Whiteman!) to the point where he just doesn't have any identity of his own... This was probably my favourite dark comedy I've ever witnessed. Amazing read! <3
Great vn! I absolutely love the visuals and audio. The question 'where does self-care end and giving up on life start?' is one that haunts me every day, and I strongly resonated with how it was handled in this story. The way the 'rotting' eats the mc up from inside, but simultaneously offers solace and comfort definitely applies to my experiences too. Even though my disability doesn't cause me physical pain, I still saw myself in this game, and I am definitely not the only one who had that experience. Thank you for making this and good luck on your future endeavors <3
I am not entirley sure I fully got the story, but the writing was compelling nonetheless. I enjoyed the nostalgic tone interspered with genuinely adorable character interactions. Generally the character writing is this game's strongest suit - I loved the girls. Visually it's probably one of the best VNs I've played on here. Good work!
I think this is the happiest a visual novel has made me. Everything just came together perfectly for me - silly cartoons that make you question your gender, magical girls, weird, kinky, incredibly indulgent horniness, adorable art, beautiful story and yuri on a truly cosmic scale. I literally went outside and spent 10 minutes just lying on the ground and staring at the sky while smiling maniacally after playing this.
10/10. Made me touch grass <3
I did wander in the beginning why Hellen would choose a random teacher with little experience in creative writing to be tutored by, so I knew something was up (that and having played Ride Home), but holy shit there is no way I could have prepared for that! And then the hits just don't stop coming. This is the first jam entry that made me truly squirm in my seat. Congratulations <3
So, same time next week?
Really enjoyed this one. The bit about Askatla not wanting to be defined by her body resonated with me. The visuals were amazing too - the art was really good and hot, but the backgrounds are also great. I love the editing on them and how coherent they are - the CG where Ida is incorporated into the river is particularly fun. I'll will definitely reread this after the art update.
This was truly delicious toxicity. I love evil obsessive sword yuri. Saden was a really compelling character to me, her hatred masking her self-loathing and inadequacies, the constant fantasising, but never doing what she actually wants, the gender envy (evil envy?) towards Vivu… I fear becoming like her one day.
Really like how video gamey this feels – the visuals (especially the excellent BGs) and the worldbuilding give off this obscure RPG vibe. I think it neatly highlights Saden’s perception of the world as just a fantasy sandbox to go on a rampage in while ignoring the overarching story that Ingrislia really wants her to follow in a making-your-own-fun kinda way.
Great game. It definitely made me go "ooooo" throughout my playthrough.
