Hey thank you so much for the kind words! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed my game.

The white stuff is a preservative substance the big bird produced to keep the baby food fresh for longer since they don't get hikers every day and it's their favorite food. This is why there was no nasty rotting smell around the bodies.

..... or that's the setting I came up with after I made a mistake lol Originally, I wanted the later area to be foggy and snowy, but I had run out of time and ditched that idea. When I was drawing the pile of bodies, I briefly forgot that I wasn't doing snow anymore. By the time I realized that, it was a little late to undo the snow pile and I kind of liked how the bodies would stand out in the dark forest due to the white paints, I came up with an excuse (a gross one at that) to keep it.

Oh that was stressful, in the best sense for horror games. I also didn't expect the rooms to rearrange, which just broke the sense of security coming from learning and knowing the place from previous gameplay! I also loved the design/sound/animation of "the man".

I absolutely loved the format of this game! By the way, I think the missing pages people are mentioning went outside of the book's frame to the top. This may be a bug in this version of your game, but I think you guys should explore something like that as a game mechanic. Writings appearing in the wrong, or unconventional space could be used to convey the dwindling sanity of the writer(like in a book I started and didn't finish, called House of Leaves). Hell, all the events have been happening within the pages, but maybe you could even have something happen right outside the books on the table (ghost hand appears as the writer writes something they don't like?)

I think there's a lot of potential here, and it would be exciting to see you guys make this your niche and explored more.

Hahaha this game was hilarious! I enjoyed testing the water by doing all sorts of things, from just the cup, no cup, just sugar water, to what I thought he might like.

Aw thank you so much, Kuraishimi!

Ahhhh when my window was not in fullscreen, I was not seeing the ghosts. When I tried the game the first time, I was just seeing what looked like a red lump(the Nothing?) and I clicked on it like my life depended on it, which is probably why I died even quicker during the sequence. While I did find the game very challenging (thank you for implementing save and load haha), I liked that the ghosts' random and perhaps more frequent appearance added a sense of urgency and panic when navigating the area!

Ahh it's a shame it didn't occur to me to make the person photographable! Thank you so much for playing. I'm glad you liked it!

That is too kind! Thank you so much.

I'm very happy that you thought so! Thank you so much for playing!

Aw! I'm sorry that you're living the consequences of my not code signing my application.

If you right-click(context-click) on the downloaded .exe file and click on `Properties`, you may see the following message at the bottom of the General tab:

This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.

If you see this message along with an `Unblock` checkbox, you should be able to run the game. Could you give this a go and let me know if it worked?

If it didn't, I suppose you _could_ disable Microsoft Defender SmartScreen temporarily via Windows Security settings page, but I would not recommend this since it might put your computer at risk, and I don't think my game is worth that lol (being mainly a Mac user, I'm not too familiar, but I do have experience my PC downloading something malicious in the background without me knowing and fixing that was a lot of pain, so I'm wary.)

Ah that explains the white flashes I was seeing during that sequence! Alright, giving it one more try :)

Oh no! Was it on PC or Mac? And did you get a different screen from "Windows protected your PC"?

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for taking the time to play my game and leaving thoughtful comment!

Aw I would love to progress and explore more, but I can't seem to keep myself alive! Do you have any tips? The atmosphere and audio work is really great though.

Hey there! Mine is not quite the traditional point and click game, but I think it still could qualify as a point and click game. Would you be the judge for it?

Looking forward to checking out your game as well :)

Hey Bee! I hope I'm not too late on the train! I would love to watch you play my game where you go for a walk in the woods to take photos of birds:

Heh it took me 2 tries to really grasp what I was doing to the other person, so I didn't answer a single answer on the 3rd playthrough. Did I pass the test?

Oh man, the sounds and the music! I enjoyed it very much. Even though I knew "the thing" was around the corner, it made me gasp a couple of times when it got me.

Did you get to see the baby? I'm glad you enjoyed my game! Don't forget to rate my game too ;)

I also checked out yours and you guys built some sick world there!

Aw yes! The puzzles were tight!

What desperation makes you do lol The game was short and sweet! (I imagine,, just like those bugs)

Beautifully made! I looked everywhere to find my mom, then I saw your comment below. You guys managed to create an unsuspecting but unsettling environment with such pretty artwork and music. I look forward to checking out how you guys develop this game further.

Hey I love beer! But I clicked on your game because I loved your thumbnail. That was a fun and challenging platformer :) Showing the character in gray when in dark was really cute too. I did find the camera movement a little too harsh for my eyes though. Cheers, and thanks for making the game!

That was difficult! But it was fun playing while learning what cards there were, and the voice-over just made it a lot more fun to play the game again and again.

I welcome my new overlord the sewer rat :) It was fun feeling very lost in the beginning then slowly getting the hang of the place. The rat growing was such a nice touch!

Yay! You saw the baby! Thank you for checking out my game, Nezumirra. I'm glad you had fun!

Come for a short walk in the woods and pick up bird photography!

Ha! That was a fun game from start to finish! I'm really sad I couldn't find the third eye even after... what I've done to the bush. (I selected Guard instead of Attack all the way hoping the third eye will be at the end of it.)

Hey Redcakes, thanks for playing my game. I’m really glad you enjoyed it!

The Survivor ending is the silliest one that can only be achieved when you first start the game. I do regret making it unachievable later on! (Making it so was so unnecessary lol)

The combination of the music and the artwork was incredible! I thoroughly enjoyed taking peculiar looking organs apart :)

Hey I really enjoyed the audio work on your game! Here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2024/rate/3059160

Hi friend, I'm a solo developer myself too! Looking forward to checking out your game :)
