I totally agree. I wish I could have implemented more gameplay as the whole game honestly doesn't even feel like enough to be a demo. The files are totally randomized, but yeah, the timer was thrown in last minute. I always had plans for the game to be on a limited time. In an ideal world the game would have had a currency system maybe based on correct files scanned and you could buy upgrades or maybe progress in some story line.

I appreciate your comments! Thank you!

as long as you can get the jump and dash thing consistent, which apparently is not easy for people with <100 hours on celeste

Super creative! I don't know if I've ever played a game that encourages the part of my brain that loves to cheese games. It's like stealing a box in mario maker to skip an entire section of a level or saving a dash till the end of a room in celeste. Felt good to play too, great job!

It's a bit awkward when you're trying to save up dashes and jumps and you use one, and then you don't know which one from which level got used up. I don't know if that can be helped though.

Thank you! I was a bit worried people would struggle to navigate a terminal when I made this game haha. And I certainly agree, some more contrast would help. And with more time, I would definitely have added more programs and icons

I LOVE this one, great job! I got walloped by the AI for the first five or so matches but quickly figured out the game and had a lot of fun with it. As any good roguelike, with balancing and more mechanics, I can see a lot of replay value in this.

My nitpicking: The AI you realize quickly isn't very smart. (And making a good AI for a game as complex as this I'm sure is tough.) The spell ephemeral is useless, since you can never run out time ironically as spells and minions (even the big ones) are super cheap. And spells like sundial are really interesting, because for that example, it discourages large collected attacks (but tbh its way too powerful).

Love the art and sound! It was information overload at first but it made a really fun game loop, great job guys Small thing: I was a bit confused in the "tutorial" page. My first thought was to click on the right arrow button to go to the next page which doesn't do anything, and so I hit enter, which just skips the whole sequence. Using arrows to navigate wasn't my first thought.

Very short but hard to forget. The intro scene is perfectly nostalgic and stupid in an ironic way. And when the cutscene finished and the game started up, I was just staring at the screen, bewildered, which I assume was the goal. 10/10 vibes (Also omg inkpen 2 font, I'd recognize you anywhere)

This is a really cool unique idea! A good puzzle game makes you feel like your brain is overheating and this certainly does that

The music is perfect too. I think maybe different walking sounds for the four guys would be nice. Got 1:07.35 baby!

Spheres are cool!

The bloops when you land on a block, sky of black, and stiff animations of your character are really fun. I died an embarrassing amount of times in level 1, challenging but I had fun. Wish you could look down more, can't press a button you're standing on. And a quick reset button would be nice.

I'm getting an error on windows, "love.dll, lua51.dll, SDL2.dll was not found". I think you need to upload a zip folder with the dll's?

Lmao Thanks a lot!

Thanks! It's my first game jam but I've made a couple games before and have a couple years of experience so dw I'm not some wizard

Everything comes together to make a really great atmosphere! Had a couple awkward deaths at first but was able to fairly quickly beat the game. Really like the shaky letter effect lol

Thanks for the comments and for playing! I realize now that the protocol tab was broken (I didn't do much playtesting last night since it was already 4:30am lol). Just pushed a fix so it should be clearer now.

I loved the writing, hilarious and adorable. The whole game is so stylized too! Incredible work <3
