i've tried a few (along with Euro-Bear 2000, great fun that was! Loved the music.) and they worked fine, but most games i just can't seem to get working, including venus patrol. it opens the console, does something (haven't found a log.txt file or similar so i can't tell what exactly) and then immediately closes itself. i've tried copiying "avbin.dll" as indicated in the readme file but it doesen't seem to make any difference.

Fells like i'm missing something pretty straightfoward and obvious, so i'll keep trying a bit longer.

In the meantime, i can reccommend C'est La Vie (https://cameronmeyer.itch.io/cest-la-vie), it popped back into my mind while playing Euro-Bear 2000, it's quite fun to mess round in and has a nice tranquil(?) atmosphere.

Oh wow! I bet it's a goldmine! I'm going to check all of them out and let you know, i'm exited to see what those nausicaa looking aliens are about, many thanks for the download.

Hello! I know it's been a while.

I was browsing your games website and there I found listed a prototype for Venus Patrol. It looked very interesting so i went to download it, by clicking on the link provided but upon extracting the files i discovered that i had actually downloaded Clatter of Keys. Presumably the link was mistakenly copied from that earlier paragraph. Anyhow i was wondering if you still had a working download link for that prototype, I'd love to try it!

Thanks in advance!

I see. So as long as the wing positions are valid to the mesh used there shouldn't be any problems with modifying it, and as long as i export it as an .obj file the game will be able to use it.

When i tried importing a custom model the wing positions were off so it would just crash, that must've been it.

I also wanted to try making a VTOL style aircraft and maybe make the wheels pivot (using the rudder controls) to make planes more maneuverable on the "ground" but I don't think that's possible without digging into the code.

Thanks

I've been experimenting too: made a mach 5 capable meteor with a few thousand guns on it's wings. Just i haven't been able to import my own models. How did you do it?

Thanks in advance

Good evening.

I wanted to say that i really like this game, it has given me a lot of inspiration and helped me loosen up a little. It gave me a sense of carelessness and freedom that like few things can, nowadays. Only thing is that my pc may have almost caught fire while running it, so i was wondering if you were going to add any graphics settings (Resolution, Shading, Render distance, Texture quality, etc.).

If my budget surpasses the customary five cents a month, i may get a decent pc and explore this game better, but i doubt it will any time soon. Until then, not much i can do exept wait and see.

Also, good luck on your future projects, you won't need it i'm sure.

Awesome, i'll try to X rank it too, thanks for the route.

This whole thing definitely wasn't intended and i apologize to the dev for spoiling what will probably be part of the next update.

that being said, X rank i'm coming

Can't... wait to.. try it?

Very clever

Thank you so much, can't wait to try it!

Let's talk real buisness.

can't get more than an S on mount basins by a few performance points thanks to that one dude. Won't spoil where he is, just know it's a little annoying challenging.

Got an X on all other levels exept the very first one, and there's a good reason for it: i'm missing one enemy, somewhere, somehow. I looked everywhere on the main path and couldn't find anything.

The interesting thing is that on that same first level is the only possible secret area i couldn't get to: all the way to the left is a pit with a holo-sign saying the area is unfinished, and telling me to "come back later :3". At the bottom of the pit is also some kind of door but i haven't found a way to open it yet. Standing on the highest part of the sloped door you can just barely see another sign. My theory is that i can somehow throw myself high enough to pass the wall and get to the other side or, hit the wall at mach6.9 and die a painful death to then reform just barely reaching the body of that one enemy i couldn't find, on the other side of the wall where i saw the sign.

Keep you all updated if i find something new, in the meantime, suggestions are more than welcome.

Walker

Really fun and exiting!

It's balanced, cool and has interesting mecanichs. Also very fun to explore wich i wasn't expecting.

Now that that's out of the way i'm just going to max out the kill counter at the end in all of it's entries.

Thanks in advance for the next 2 hours of pure unfiltered FUN and have a nice evening.

I absolutely love this game, really hard at first until i realised i could live without ammo but i couldn't live without health.

Really fun.

Thanks for the update, game looks really cool.

Just one thing: could you make it accessible to mouse and keyboard since i can't really find a way to do it myself without installing unity. Things like camera movement don't seem to work with a mouse at all.

Thanks again and good evening

About where the windmills are, the game crashes.

I don't know why.

Would gladly appreciate if you could fix it somehow.

Oh and thanks for letting me throw bottles in the ocean in the first place. Apparently the police doesn't like it when you do it in real life. They say things like:

"Why is it always YOU and why always on MY lunch break!"

"I can see the uranium inside bottle, what do you think you're doing?"

(Don't throw bottles in the ocean, in case it wasn't obious)

Instead, use them for making cool sculptures or something.

The neat part about this game is that i have no idea what snow part you're talking about

welp

i'm glad i got to explore the old version that just got released since the demo itself was so awsome: doesen't have any problems running on my 2005 laptop wich is great; enjoyed every part of it from exploration to combat to the character and enemy design and interactions, not only being new and refreshing but also very solid.

The best part imo was the movement, it jus feels so good. it took a few minutes to really get it but when i did it felt incredibly fluid.

in a few words, i loved the game and everything about it. I hope you're doing great and that you consider how much time you need to expand the game... and take triple.

Best of luck, the walker.

cool

I am so exited for the future of this game and think it has so much potential. Honestly,  best of luck with the paid version and tank you for deciding to keep updating the free demo.

Same here, hope you get well soon.

Just wanted to ask, do you plan on optimizing the game in the future?

i liked it, simple yet deep.

it wasn't hard to appreciate the challenging yet relaxing story﹠gameplay, thank you.
