Fun game! The art and sound are perfect! I like that you having to figure out how it works is part of the game! But when I started, this was not immediately obvious to me. A little comment in the page description that figuring out what you need to do is part of the game would have helped me a lot.
Great game!

Nice puzzle platformer. Looking really good. Very cute robot. Also like the sound design.
I had some difficulties with the camera control. Especially in the first level, where the bot needs to go in the corner and the camera automatically zooms out and mover to the right. This forces the player to have to change their direction control based on a camera angel that you do not control at that moment. I found this very tricky. It got a bit better in subsequent levels.
Anyway, very impressive and fun game!
So, I did not know there already was a game like this called ATOMAS. And I don't know if that game has the added mechanics that you mentioned in the comment below (Which sound great).
Regardless...
The look and feel and music of this game you made are really good quality. (From the atomas screenshots I have seen, I like yours much more!
Glad to hear that you are working on an expanded version. I will save this game for when you have made the expansion.
Great job!
OMG. This looks soo nice! The art is amazing. The levels look really good. The music was perfect. Too bad it did not loop during the gameplay.
I also like the combination of a platformer with the collecting and crafting and the puzzling which item to use where etc.
I think you could easily make this into a full game with more crafting recipes and more levels. Great job!
one note: I was able to place the catapult inside the roof structure where I was not able to use it anymore. I think this is probably not intended.
Haha :D.
Thanks for the nice words! It was 99% the theme and the way Shovel said it that made me join the jam. So I am glad my story's message comes across. :)
I like your idea about racing up. could make a maze puzzle game with this mechanic. or even a sort of platformer.
Were you soft-locked on the S? I was afraid that there would be many possibilities for soft-locking, but I never managed to get stuck during play-testing.
Really fun mechanic. Nice art and music and sound effect.
I found it very difficult. Especially because the camera moves instantly with the player which makes it super hard to aim because you have to move your mouse in tune with the camera. This may be intentional, which is fine of-course but I found it too hard tbh.
Other than that everything worked really well and intuitive. Great job!
Cool game. I like the safe zone and that you just need to get started from there. picking the right moment to start was a fun challenge.
Some music and sound effects would do a lot to make the game feel more finished. Plus a visual or audible indicator of the shield timer.
I was not able to test the multi-player function, but the idea of a race against an opponent is really cool and ads a lot to the fun of the game.
This game gas a lot of potential. Good job!
Yeah, I did really try to figure out scoring. That was actually part of the fun for me.
These are tough problems to solve though. making the scores pop out more would definitely help. And a little more time between the challenges maybe.
Being more " transparent" or clear about the points system would make the player be better and scoring higher, but it would remove the fun of trying to figure out how it works...
Something else... I enjoyed the drawing challenges. And the game progression and different challenges were fun. I do not understand the scoring though. But maybe that's the whole point?
edit: Amyway, I really enjoyed the novelty of this game. It is something totally different from all the games in this Jam I have played so far. (40+ so far)
Really cool game mechanic! Personally I liked the easier levels a bit more. I was just enjoying the catapulting so much. As soon as the red squares came in, I had to focus and try to survive. Too bad you did not manage to get the aiming to be perfect, that would have helped a lot I think.
Anyway, Very fun game and well done!
