All I seem to do is encounter rubble piles which contain completely useless crap that I can't put down even in my house, and monsters which are like 3 times stronger than I am which I have no chance whatsoever of beating.

The few ventures I've made all work the same way:
Leave the house.

Pick a random direction and walk in it, it doesn't seem to matter which direction because everything looks the same.

Encounter piles of rubble and pick up rocks or wood or scrap iron, none of which I can use.

Run into some monster that easily beats the crap out of me and forces themselves on my unconscious body. I can't do much exploring because I get beaten to a pulp if I get any distance in any direction.

Am I supposed to lose to the monsters? Like some domination thing? They're so much stronger than I am that I don't see any other purpose to them. There doesn't seem to be any 'combat' as such.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to items or monsters being more or less powerful in certain locations, like in most RPG's. You'd usually expect that areas closest to your start point would have weaker monsters and lesser treasure but I haven't seen that. It's all the same.
I don't know. I've never played one of your games before so maybe that's it. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing and don't see any purpose to this game.

Doesn't work for me.

Screen goes black when you get into your first combat and there's a button for a combat tutorial that you can't close and doesn't respond.

When you start playing, just click through and see if the combat works for you before you waste your time customizing a character.

Could anyone share?

Some of us are not big brained. I'm stuck.

There's nothing whatsoever to do. Like nothing except for take off my clothes and put them back on again.

I mean I wish you the best but this is taking the concept of a demo a bit far.

That was fantastic. This guy can WRITE.
