As far as your question about what inspired the system itself, if I was to be completely honest, a large part of my design process is intuitive. I created the basic premise of a whole slew of different games by asking myself "What gaming experience do *I* want to have?" "How can I use an LLM to create the most immersive and rewarding experience possible, within that framework of a text only RPG?"

Then over the span of about 3 or 4 months, I built these fun little "One-Shot" style games. I was building these interactive games for no other reason than.. well.. It was really, really fun. 

To your observation about the feeling of truly beginning to care for the characters and the interactions, this is what drew me in so completely. I was unsure about exactly *what* I had... But I knew I had something. Something so fun, I had to find a way to share it with other people. That's when I came up with the Alone Together concept, having literally no idea that it was already something other creatives had already bin doing. Now I'm having a great time navigating the community, interacting with awesome people (such as yourself) and coming up with more cool ideas for new game concepts. I'm hoping to grow the popularity of the Ai gaming experience, as I've found it to be deeply fulfilling. Not only as a creator but as a player as well.
