There absolutely needs to be a hot-key to craft an item when you have plenty of parts. I can use RMB to quickly put an item in a crafting spot, but I have to move my mouse over to press the craft button. I'd honestly prefer space to craft whatever you have on hand, rather than pause/unpause.
