The briefing on controls never begins. Nothing I press or click causes progress, except pressing certain number keys causes things to happen. Pressing 3 spawns the player, but the screen is a void so they just fall down and get picked up again. Pressing 6 instantly kills a Waddle Dee. Pressing 8 causes a cutscene to start and a floor to spawn. A boss theme plays on top of the tutorial music. Pressing the green flag reset me to a room with Metal Knuckles in it, and from there I was able to reach the hub(?) I talked to the shopkeep but got stuck after they said "See anything you like?"

Thanks! Most of the Tokens don't specify damage. From the first page of the Token list, Blazing Hearts, Cumulonimbus Approach, Frosted Kiss, and Perfect Circle don't.

Unrelated question, what does rip and tear do (the Core Set Bonus)?
