Thanks.
I'm glad you mannaged to get how it worked and enjoy it.
I do hope to make it evolve into a more finished and hopefully approachable experience
I suppose I should let rabbitlinkity answer about what inspired him to have the civilisation be fairies, but our main idea here was that this isn't a game where we want to focus on making production lines and where you go in the details of "sustaining" the civilisations that are born on the planets you manage.
We wanted it to be more about creating the conditions for life to evolve, and having more fun and frivolous exchanges. You don't produce food in your more green planets. a desertic planet has conditions enough to sustain life by itself, but it's inhabitants will appreciate sushi as a delicacy.
On the other hand, the greener planets will probably appreciate the spice produced on the more desertic planet.
We liked the idea of the ultimate (at least for now) goal for the player being to enable civilisation to party so hard they go hardcore into fanfic writing.
I don't know if that makes a lot of sense.
It certainly isn't a very deeply thought out lore.
It was more driven by thoughts about the mechanics of the game, and the wish to have a whimsical universe for it.
I realize the game can be quite a lot and be hard to get what to do.
So if you struggle to understand what's going on with untitled god game, I updated the game's page to give a bit more guidance on how it works/what to do and hopefully help you.
There's also a bunch of details about our design plans you can access if you're interested in our design process.
