It currently breaks very important rules: It must be made during the jam period and it must be web playable. And since it is so early in the jam, you do not currently have any devlogs posted during the jam. You game looks like it would be interesting to play, but it would not qualify for voting in its current state

Hi there, thanks for your submission. As is, this submission may be disqualified because it does not follow the game jam rules. Please refer to the game jam page for more information about the requirements for this round.

If you are interested in being productive with other developers while working on your games, join us in the server for dev sessions! They are scheduled for Tuesdays at 9:00pm UTC and Saturdays at 4:00pm UTC. These will be silent-development sessions so no need to be on the mic. Not restricted to jam participants!

Due to delays in publishing the game jam posting, the start date will now be July 18th. Also, the website thecodingcabanagamejam.com is now available! Please reach out if you have any questions pertaining to this game jam by posting in the community or joining the discord server.

Thank you to everyone that has rated so far. Jump back in to rate additional games you have not seen yet, don’t wanna leave games unrated! There are some great submissions that deserve more attention. Leave a comment for additional questions.

Also the link to the server was updated on the jam page days ago so it should currently be valid (double checked). Good luck!

Some submissions have been rolling in pretty early (which is not an issue), however, if your submission cannot be recognized as a legitimate chess variant, is unrelated to the topic/theme  or I suspect suspicious activity, those entries will be removed. Entries for Round 1 are meant to be experimental, but should still be recognizable as a chess related game. In addition to that, game rules should be shared explicitly with your submissions - users should not have to download anything to understand the game rules. A quality submission will make the game as convenient as possible to play. Please reply below if you have additional questions

You are allowed to recycle old code in Round 1 as the purpose of this round is to create prototypes to try out new ideas. In Round 2, there will be more requirements and restrictions regarding what can be used as submissions

If anyone has any questions about the current game jam, upcoming game jams or collabing with other creators, information will be available on the site (will be up later today). Good luck!

Thanks for reaching out! The discord link will be sent out once I send an update later today

Nice! I will reach out to you directly on discord. Thanks for the heads up!
