Hi! I’m actually working on a major update right now which will make the game much more enjoyable (and I’m learning a lot about Godot!) I understand that the game may feel empty, especially with the lack of audio and pretty basic background, but I’m working on it! (Also, I did overthink on the brainstorming phase too much so that cut my time to just a day even though I was available all 2 weeks 😅). Thanks for playing the game and giving feedback!

This idea is so creative! It's so fun to move around and cause chaos everywhere. The art is very appealing and the music and SFX are very fitting to the game. A couple suggestions though: (1) I feel like the game is suuuuuper difficult and it's really easy to die, so maybe place less obstacles/deadly things, or buff the gnomes? (2) when the gnomes cause chaos, make the player actually do something than just wait around! I want to feel and cause more chaos!!! Overall, great job on your game jam!

Nice game! Its super polished, and I liked the parallax effect a lot! The sound effects were also great, and I love the infinite runner gameplay! It's so fun and unique! Great job

Thanks for playing! Yeah my friend did an awesome job on the art

Wow, just WOW. This is such a fun game!!!!! I feel honored that you rated me 🥹A couple quality of life things would be nice though, like knowing where you are amidst the popcorn chaos, because most of the time I'm running into a wall and have no idea whatsoever lmao. This game is PEAK, especially with the fully fleshed out mechanics and insane polish! I bet if I could get past my perfectionism I could do a fraction of something like this lol. Such a unique idea. Also, I've never played a 3D game so well optimized for web before! Most of the time I'm throwing up, and I refuse to download the files bc viruses, yk (not that yours or every game is a virus). (I could go on and on about how awesome this game is) Congradulations!!!!! (P.S. I gave you five stars on everything, great job! Gnome power :D )

Dude I had so much fun making the banner for the game xD took me an hour lol but it was sooooo worth it

Oh yeah!

Yeah, I kinda ran out of time 😅 I was gonna make it so that the gnomes would spawn somewhere in the grass over time, but I'll do that in the next update. Thanks for playing!

Omg I also ran out of time 🥹 Your game is actually really fun :D The movement is great, sound and music are good too. I can't really put your theme interpretation into your game, but I'm guessing it was the time. It also took me a bit to realize why I kept dying, but I figured out that you need to just collect the cyan orbs. Great job!!

Very cool game! I love the different enemies and the animations from the attacks! It'd be cool if the enemies could stay on screen all the time. Great job!

Music and graphics are awesome, and the detail where music fades out the further you are from the DNA is really helpful. Knockback from the turtle would be nice, and you should also add WASD to your input map! I'd also like to see the turtle also getting larger or faster as the game goes on, and maybe some more variation in gameplay (I can't be talking lol), but you did great for your first try. Congrats!

(1 edit)

This is only the beginning! :) (of my game dev journey) Thanks for playing!

Edit: I was planning on making buyable upgrades between shops, but I ended up running out of time

I love this game! Man, how did you do the shaders for this thing. I'm too scared to even touch 3D lol (2D is hard enough). I think that the game would benefit from more attention to art and sound effects, but the game was really fun!

The level of polish is incredible! I wouldn't be surprized if you guys won. The gameplay is fast and addictive, graphics are goofy and match the vibe of the game, and the sound effects and music are top tier. Great job, especially for your first GWJ!

Good job on your first GWJ. The graphics were outstanding!! Music was also super good. I don't really see how it ties to the theme, maybe I just didn't play long enough or something, but I keep dying. Also, the collisions are a bit wonky, I keep getting hit and I can't figure out why!

Thanks for playing! I'll probably add more in some post-jam version or something, I just wanted to have something that works and feels nice. (Plus I had a busy week)

Great game! The music and narrative were nice, and the boss fights were very fun! However, be careful with the colors. A lot of the time I have trouble seeing the enemies because they are almost the same color.

I’ve made a game for this jam, but I used the AI overviews from Google Search to help me with solving problems in the game. Would this still be against the AI usage rules and result in disqualification? If so, is it still ok to submit the game here with a this disclosure?
