Obviously not Chained Lupine—I’m in the exact same boat as you, haha. Made a similar “are you alive?” post about two weeks? ago, and no response so far. We can only hope.

At the very least, just wanted to let you know I still think of it from time to time! Not sure how much it means to you, but I’d say that the original is very dear to my heart.

Well, it’s been quite a while, and I know life can just get in the way sometimes, but I figured I’d drop by for my roughly annual check-up. I doubt you’ll see this, but if you do, then how’s Legacy coming along? I’d still like to see the remake one of these days, but I understand if you’ve moved on, haha. It’s still the only flash game I remember enjoying as much as I did.

You're supposed to try and leave the room during this sequence!

Super fun! The only suggestions I'd have would be to find an alternate mechanic to the no jump floor in world 3, as the lack of movement options tends to make the world more frustrating than the other two, and to add some sort of fullscreen option. But besides that, a really solid, fun little game! Love the entire aesthetic and the look of the player character.

Hi! Just checking in, since it's been about three months and I figured that lines up with the usual gap, how's everything going? I'm not sure if I missed the show reel you had planned, or if you've just never gotten around to it, but that'd always be neat to see.

Well, until next time, since I'm not super sure if you respond to these.

I am sorry I was unable to donate; hopefully in the future I can contribute something.

Hello again! Fan here, I am unsure how finished this version is? As in, whether or not minerals and collection have actually been added? However, I do love the destructible terrain - it reminds me of Hydroneer, or Astroneer in a good way - but I believe a more fleshed out version should include a better tutorial. What are the minerals? Why do random yellow gems and rock pop out of the ground whenever I dig deep enough? Is there a certain way to collect them?

These are questions I asked myself, but overall, I think this is a very solid core of what could be a fun little miner game. The movement is very satisfying - it feels fast, but not so fast that I am unable to process where I am going, and the destruction radius on the mining tool feels about right - perhaps upgrades could be put in to customize this? Either a general path to increase the area of effect, or specialized ones where the player can adjust values themselves for different effects? (I.E., a smaller radius but with a chance to collect more minerals.)

Very nice ambient sound effects.

Would love to see a more fleshed out product one of these days!

I’m unsure of what black magic you’ve been practicing, but without fail, every time I think about Legacy and come on itch.io to check for updates, you seem to post one that same week. Keep up the psychic powers! Excited to see what comes out of this Ludum.

Still insanely excited for this! No idea if it was you or someone else who did the sound effects, but they seem perfect, and I’m already excited for the refined movement. Can’t wait to see more!

May I ask what your (tentative, if possible) release date is looking like?

Oh, I can’t wait to see how this plays out! And how it plays, for that matter. Love to see you work!

It’s awesome to see some of the game, I hope everything goes well! Personally, I don’t mind the long gaps between updates, so don’t stress out about it if you forget/can’t make them. Eager to see further progress!

Ahhh! Don’t know how I missed this update! I’m so glad to see that there’s progress! Is that an inventory system? I can’t wait for this to be ready, whenever it’s done!

Actually, that does help. Thanks a ton!

Woah, that’s awesome to hear! I know that this is expanding the game, but how much longer do you think it’ll be once all the new levels are added?

Always here if any sort of fan-feedback is needed, and I hope all goes well!

Well, I just played Legend of Kalevala again after about 6 years. I'm happy to say I enjoyed it as much as the first time (and I finally got that blasted good ending). Sad to see that this project doesn't seem to be ongoing anymore, but it's comforting to know that the expansion wasn't a hollow promise. Kudos to you, Chained, and I hope you''ll pick the project back up one day!
