Yo this is awesome! The art style is really cool and it feels like there's some deep lore we didn't get to explore. I would love to play a more developed version of this game! One note I have is it would be nice to be able to skip the rest of the time if you already asked all your questions. But overall a super polished and gorgeous gamefor the 5 days. A really cool take on the prompt!

Sweet art! That much pixel art in 5 days is impressive. The sides of platforms are really easy to get stuck on so that can be frustrating, but I would love to see this further developed. The style and music are great.

This is a super neat concept. Follows the theme really well. Somehow with the graphics settings on my laptop I could faintly see the differences in the blocks and the background so if you continue developing this you might wanna check that out. Cool submission though!

This game has potential, personally I struggled with the movement direction being tied to the cursor placement without the camera following suit. And progression seems difficult. good job for 5 days though!

Yeah I definitely want to figure out why the cutscenes didn't work on web and fix that in the future. And definitely working on smoothing out the movement. The mushrooms were a struggle for me play testing it lol. Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you for your feedback! I hadn't thought about the death screen, that's good to consider. And yeah, we're definitely going to find a way to make the platforms more obvious, either with separate texturing or by making what is and isn't a platform a lot more consistent. This was our first game together so a lot of this jam was getting into the flow working with each other. Thank you so much for playing!!

I had worked my way through a couple bosses and gotten quite a few upgrades. But when I went to fight the trickster in the upper part of the map, when I would Die my final death to him the You Win screen would pop up. Then did that again every time when I replayed and died to that boss again, instead of playing the death screen or bringing me to the shop.

Yeah that's fair, it should only be the purple mold and the bats that could kill you, but we're definitely working on the hitboxes n stuff. Thank you for playing!

This was awesome. I liked how you had to craft the different towers.Discovering the magnet was a game changer. Nice speed of progression. I played this for far too long lol. Awesome game jam!

Yeah the mushroom jump takes a bit of trial and error to get it to bounce high enough, getting the different movement tactics smooth is something we'll definitely be improving for the full version. Thank you so much for playing!

I liked the ghost form after you die the first time. And the shopkeep is ominous. It said I won everytime I died to the trickster? Not sure if that was meant to happen, but I like the progression difficulty. Sweet game for 5 days!

The shop keep pixel art was cute. I couldn't figure out how to get the plants to grow, but I love the interperetation of the theme being that in death they are more valuable

I think mine might have been glitching? Not sure it kept flipping back and forth between two levels while my health kept going negative. Cute assets though!
