I love these types of games :) Simple and addictive. The art style is quite nice too, and I love the view of the city!

ok Its not really that important but I just wanted to let everyone know that if they looked at our game and left some feedback on our page we would appreciate that. This is our first game, and we really want to improve! If you leave a comment, I'll also check out your game!

Ok i updated the description to have more information.

We did, and people hated it. We are going to finish it with an interactive tutorial, but we ran out of time.

Loved it! Sweet and short!

Solid feeling game. I don't play many puzzle-like games but I was drawn into the spooky atmosphere.. Very good game

This was my first game jam as well.. I've done partial games before but never got a full completed experience. I can't really talk from experience but what I would say is there are a couple of things to really focus on
1) Sound! sounds are so vital to a game and can really be the make or break difference. Everything from background music/ sounds to menu interactionsA
2) In the same vein as sound you need to add "juice" to the game. What that means is interacting with the character and the world needs to feel impactful.. You can do this through things like sound but also visual effects that indicate an interaction takes place. Finding the right sounds completely changes the game.
This is the game my friend and I made. It's pretty amateur as well, but I tried to do some of what I talk about... Its not perfect and I have a long way to go The Hamster Engine by ADKeiber, ThisGuyCaleb

Addicting!

He's coming!! RUNN

Fun dialogue!

SPIN!

Hey my friend and I made our first game too! Spinning tops are definitely very serious and spin-to-win

Here is mine. It's a hamster game!

This is your first game? My friend and I made our first game for this one too! I really like your art! Also i was raging at trying to get the clown higher up (in a good way). I hope you keep making games because this was short and sweet!

I love the hand-drawn aesthetic! Its goofy and fun... feels really bad when I lose a tower though and when you lose any health it becomes so much harder to win because it costs more money to get back to where you were :( But hey I won and I had fun... so.. yeah good game!

I'm glad someone else can see the capacity for hamsters to be used in production.. we did something very similar! I had a fun time with your game !

Love the game! That shark is super cute! Protect our oceans!!! Nice. Short. Sweet. Love it! Really fun once I got that little guy flying!

Very fun game.. I will say in the heat of battle the camera moving with the spins does become very disorienting. Everything else was really fun!

Nice! Keep making games!

Pretty cool! This is what I first imagined when we were trying to decide what to do for our game!

I love that pupper!

Beautiful art! Its on theme too! Was there more after the wizard at the end? Because I waited a little and nothing happened... but it was very fun!

I'd love to see where you could take this! I was a little confused how to play the game on my first run but the second time I was spinning and throwing that kid around like a ninja star!

Pretty cool! I like the music in the game and also the sound effects!

I upgraded the planet all the way! Very fun but once I filled it out I felt like the game was just kind of over :(

Cute concept. I'm a little confused about how my interaction will actually impact the little guys.. My brain couldn't figure out, but I still finished! fun

Pretty fun.. I big time failed the first time, but the 2nd time I was sailing! The only thing that might be nice to have is some sort of visual of how close we are to the ground... Very fun though

Thank you for playing our game! We spent the entire last day trying to figure out balancing and pacing... I'm glad you thought it was good!

Wow! Played through and beat it... Very addicting. I love the final rocket scene where they take their business with them!  We also made a hamster game!

I want more!! Very fun and I love the shrimp!

Oh hey I did hamsters too! Wish there was more interaction in the game though :(

I like these models! I'm not sure what it has to do with spinning other than the enemy being a Cyclone

I love this setup! I'm very bad at gambling though.... Soooooo... yeah.. but very good game overall

I was a little confused about how to interact with the machines, but I ended up getting it after a while!
