Yeah, it would be... strange at the very least. "Chaos: the Beginnings"

Hmm.. placing file didn't help, I'm still getting the same error, also placing some normal png file with the same name had no results either. I'll be trying the patched version, then,.
Considering your question, I did (through I played the game second time from the start with this update, but I didn't get to the Inquisitor visit before). It was probably a bit of luck and gamer's habit of looking/clicking everywhere - I found a "non-sanctioned" book in Ardina's room, and then I just run around the house. The only dead end I found was when I tried (for the sake of completion) to avoid kissing Dina in the cave. Also, I've rejected Abigail (it wouldn't be fair to poor girl, as I like Ardina more, so I didn't tried her routes (also, they seem to be basically incarnations of Stability and Change?)
P.s. Yess, the patch seems to be working, thanks!)
Hmm, I can't see screenshot I've added to my previous post, so here is the text:
Failed to load
img/pictures/color_box_w_mvt.png
(sure, there is no such file in the game directory)
Also, unrelated question: is there any difference for any preparations being done or not before running from village with Dina? (hiding her dresses, laundry, book etc). I suppose there are some things I didn't found... but I somehow doubt the outcome will be different.
Also, a bug I've encountered: after an invitation from Abby to go with her to stream (second one, during Dina's illness) and refusing to be her boyfriend, picture of Kern and Abby sitting together stays over the screen, even after reloading or going into houses. I suppose, as a punishment for breaking Abby's heart?
And another one, trying to make porridge for Dina, I've lighted the fireplace, got the grain from the sack, but I can't interact with the bucket in the smokehouse at all.
Is there any in-depth explanation of the stats mechanics?
What I'm asking is, for example, with strength there is description "Strength increase physical damage related to you level, 20% if both are equal". So, how does the damage calculation works?
From the text it seems, that you need to select 3 or 4 stats and keep them as close max value (=level) as possible, for example strength (or basically any other stat) 4 is useful at level 4-5 but not at level 20. Also, there is no such remark for magic as for strength, but I suppose they work the same?
(This isn't really such a big thing as you can level up how much you can, but it is still interesting. Do you need some stats equal to level for example for any dialog uses, or just fixed values?)
Also, how the traits like Warding work? Is an increase of 0.2 for new levels of is it retro-calculated? If first, you need to take them earlier to have a greater effect.
The game is surprisingly fun and deep at the same time. I'm torn between playing it as it is, and waiting for it to be more complete. Actually, how much of the game (as it is planned) is done now, in terms of story and mechanics?
Also, is there any chance of the game going to Steam? I can't use Patreon but I'll buy it on steam early access.
