First time doing a jam requiring a source code, just curious on the reasoning. Is it for educational purposes or something, I always heard game jam coding was typically rushed and a poor study tool. Also any game submitted still remains the property of the dev/team and not some form of open source right? Sorry not trying to sound like a nut just curious on the reasoning.

Will the ratings be posted on itch?

I am a first year computer science student but I am older then the average college student, 29 years young, am i still able to participate?

Thanks for playing! Yeah i forgot that i messed with the pitch shift a bit too much at the end so now sometimes it wont make the sound and sometimes it makes ears bleed haha, I made all the bird noises with my own voice and then pitch shifted to help sell it:P

This was such a solid narrative, I love it. Its amazing for this being your first game! One thing i would suggest is in the future take the time for sound, especially in something like this it would take it to the next level! Congrats on the first game!

I can see one submission but i cant see the game when i click into the submissions page it takes me to a empty page:/ well reguardless give me a link to you game so i can try it out:) Not sure if you should try contacting the jam's host to find out whats going on or perhaps try re submitting?

Got started a bit late myself, and struggled really hard with rotating projectiles the correct way-.- haha my brains not with me, hows everyone else finding the jam? I Love the theme great job:)

Love the trail effect and the wall jumps, had some issues with collision as far as top of walls and bottom of platforms seems like i kept getting stuck at both while trying to wall jump. Nice game and good call on the checkpoints:p Great Job!

Jump felt nice and snappy sounds were awesome, the difficulty ramps up fast which is a bit tough but maybe thats how you wanted it due to it being only one level. My only critique would be adding a bool to flip the sprite so its atleast facing the way you run:) Great Job on the jam:)

Very nice love the blood splatter on defeating a enemy and the extra flare you added with the rocket animations on the platforms. After the jam you could definitely expand on this and make it into a juicy platformer. Awesome Work!

Just curious, i keep coming across different updates that take into account feedback which is awesome, but for the sake of the jam i thought the idea was to release what you have in the time frame not to polish it with every feedback. Its my first jam so forgive my ignorance just not familiar with how these go. Do you only play the zip or whatever from the time of submission or do you judge on anything after?

I started playing and it seems like a fun idea i was having issues getting the green one to jump though i was only able to get the purple one, not sure if maybe i was pressing the wrong button or something, the graphics looks nice and the concept is fun, first multiplayer game ive seen in this jam:) Great job

Nice game, the boost was fun but the fall damage made it difficult to know when to use it, still enjoyed playing it though. Awesome work:)

Beautiful game love the music. The rising fire was a little intense haha mostly because my lack of skill:P but really fun:) Awesome Job!

Yeah its weird with unity, i used a rigidbody then tweaked the physics 2d settings. I turned gravity to -80 on the y axis to make the character snap back down to the ground.

Thanks you for playing:) I used Unity, Paint3d, and Sfx for sound

Awesome game! really enjoyed it, impressed you got soo much done haha the first boss fight was really fun and the dash mechanic felt really nice. I have a 3year old and a 5month old so i understand how hard it can be to get something like this out. Great Job!

Thanks for your feedback:) yeah i was late into this jam and decided to take on a bit more then i should have considering:P i had planned for more difficult parts to be towards the end and keep the difficulty closer to a steady level, but i started running out of time so after the first half of the level i slacked on the second half:( i wanted more traps and obstacles especially on the back elevators;) Due to the jam being one level i really wanted it to be some what challenging and encourage more play time through repeated attempts, although looking back a bit more kindness while learning the controls and a few checkpoints would have gone a long way haha. Im glad you decided to play it and even happier you took the time for feedback. Thank you:)

Yeah i noticed the slippery feeling lol i kept it in because of the feel fitting it but it definetly was not intentional:P I rushed the back half of the level which is why the issues with the platforms and difficulty are kind of wonky but im glad you played it and thank you for your feedback:)

Yeah collision is not a fish's strong suit for sure haha, im glad you enjoyed it though. Thank you for your feedback and your time:) I just played your game and dang does it make mine look like a bit of a polished turd haha Amazing Job on the jam

Thank you for taking the time to play i am glad you enjoyed it:)
