I spent a good while playing this game, and found it pretty fun, even though there isn't really an "ending" to speak of.

Whilst playing, I came up with a few suggestions:

  • A "Hard Mode" setting, where you are required to fulfil every order that comes in or fail - currently there is no challenge to the game as I can just ignore the orders altogether.
  • I feel the game becomes extremely easy once you have a good roster of monsters set up, and would benefit from more specific or harder requirements from clients, such as higher level monsters, or more traits, or certain trait combinations. This would mean you would need better monsters to be able to breed monsters to fulfil the quests, and would give the game a good difficulty curve. In addition, many quests can be fulfilled just by buying a lvl.5 directly in town then selling them, which feels kinda like cheating somewhat.
  • At endgameonce I have a perfect or near-perfect elf, I am unlikely to want to ever get rid of her as I have no reason to, but it feels incongruous with the games description of elves for me to basically keep them as a permanent sex slave forever - espeecially if I don't ever even breed with them anymore as my monsters outperform me (see below). It would feel better if the elf could only breed with you, and there was some kind of time limit on how long each elf could be kept before she is automatically donated, or perhaps the mother is automaticall donated after a certain number of offspring produced.
  • A hint of some kind for what each picture is - Many of them seem to be RNG if you get them or not, so they can be almost impossible to find without a guide.
  • Being able to see my barn space whist browsing/buying monsters in town.
  • Being able to rearrange how my monsters are ordered in the barn.
  • Expandable barn space. Taking into account the PC and Cece, you have 18 barn slots, and there are 7 species, which means early-game you must often make some hard choices regarding which monster trait combinations to get rid of to free up some space, or give up the potential for some combinations.
  • Being able to filter monsters in the barn, to easily find the species I need.
  • "Protect" certain monsters, so they can't accidentally be sold, either by removing the ability to sell them until the protection is off, or a confirmation window for them. Alternatively, an automatic confirmation window for selling monsters above a certain level or number of traits.
  • Telling me the monster species on each monsters stats page - This was rather confusing for me the first time I saw some names being requested, as I had no idea which they were, and had to guess to begin with.
  • Something that shows if a trait is maxed, or something in-game to tell me what the max for each trait is - for example a coloured border around the trait icon instead of a black border.
  • Similarly, something that shows when a particular stat is maxed at 100, as it is not obviouswhen you first start to get monsters to that level that that is the max.
  • Showing the stats and traits of each parent when breeding, so I can easily compare the child to the parents to see if I can use the child to replace a parent.
  • A way to improve your own stats and give yourself traits - early in the game it is good for you to breed, but late-game, your lack of traits means it is never viable for you to do anything, which feels like a shame.
  • Some kind of buyable or earnable item that makes it more likely or outright guarenteed that offspring will inheret all or at least a certain amount of the parents traits - When my monsters have all of the traits it feels like I can spend weeks breeding some if them hundreds of times and not get a monster that is better than either of its parents. For me, I have found it extremely difficult to breed a monster that has more than about 15 combined trait levels - it's rather frustrating.
  • Alternatively to the above - perhaps if both parents have at least a certain level in a trait, then the offspring will also have that trait at that level, meaning you could build up better monsters with the traits you have rather quickly, but the current system of being hard to breed new traits onto monsters would still be in place. This would also present a good trade off - quickly build up good monsters with a small slection of traits, or spend time getting monsters with more traits.
  • Some kind of indicator about what grade of stats is best - when I first started the game I assumed that "A" grade was the best, and it was only after cross-referencing my monsters a little bit I discovered that that wasn't true.
  • A hover-over text telling me what the "affection" stat does.

Regarding the games story and progression:

  • Being able to rebuild the lodge would be great.
  • Having some benefit from donating elves - perhaps giving high quality elves makes you able to get higher class elves for some variety?
  • More sex scenes - It feels weird that there are some for certain monster combos and not for others, especially since breeding them is basically the entire point of the game.
  • A way to donate towards the farms debt, which could reduce the monthly payments.
  • To be able to pay off the farms debt outright (either in parts or just as a single lump sum). (Which would probably unlock scenes/dialogue with Katelyn and her mom, and probably Cece and Elizabeth). Perhaps that's when you can start rebuilding the lodge?
