I love that you just had this ready to drop at a moment's notice, you're so real.

The discussion is full of people who, upon request from Miro, are letting them know that they purchased the game and would like a Steam copy, since they cannot download the game in their country via Itch.io due to Germany's extremely hamfisted censorship laws — this means, in order for people who have paid for the game to be able to play it, Miro is going above and beyond and supplying German players with a Steam Key for the game.

If you have already purchased and can buy the game, and have it downloaded, then I would say that the person being pathetic here is you, complaining about what other people are doing on the itch page, that the game's creator said to do.

The fact that you are so angry and annoyed about it is honestly childish, like there aren't plenty of other places to discuss the game. Rude, shameful, and obnoxious.

No, Fear and Hunger cannot be purchased or otherwise obtained legally through those channels, nor is it downloadable via Itch.io's site in Germany, as a result of F&H being placed on one of the Listes of banned games — specifically, Liste A, which means that it is hidden from any IP that is trying to obtain it via the Steam Store or downloading from Itch.io.

With a game CD Key, these fine folks, who likely have already paid for the game, can enjoy the game without needing to interact with Steam Store, and thus, be able to enjoy the game.

It took me five minutes to figure this out, it takes zero time to not be an asshole, especially when it involves international censorship laws (doubly so when it comes to Germany, they ban or censor basically everything).

As someone who followed the associated comic and has some strong feelings about the subject matter, this is a work of art. Something truly, viscerally chilling. The sound design, the creature design, the gameplay loop... it's all so good.

One particular thing that I liked was that, knowing the comic, I was able to call The Suit earlier than intended in the loops, just trying to see if there was any deviation.

I think that that was the most heartbreaking part of all of this; going through this nightmare with Homeless Dog, seeing the way her mind paints the world around her, the way that she thinks about so many things, the fears that she has, it makes it so hard to swallow the ending, especially after seeing and hearing all that I did throughout the game.

To try and make things work, only to stumble and find yourself at a conclusion that you never wanted to accept is so painful, and knowing that there is only one ending to this sordid tale is a painful tragedy, but one that is very real, and one painful pill that too many have had to swallow before.

Thank you for making this, and whatever might lurk in the corners of your mind, may it someday give you rest.

I don't make comments on many of these pages, but if you are thinking of playing this and haven't yet, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This is, in 15 years, one of the best VNs I have ever played, with some of the most charming dialogue to exist within the genre. Zach/Zoey is one of the most relatable protagonists I have come across in a good long while, and the rest of the cast is full of all stars too. Keisuke is such a well written character that I would wind up finding myself frustrated with him one moment, and positively enamoured the next. Honestly, maybe the best game that I have played on the whole of Itch, and almost definitely the best adult game on here, by far...

AND THE LAST VERSION I PLAYED WAS 0.13.2, SO WITH ALL THE NEW UPDATES, YOU KNOW I AM RECOMMENDING THIS WITH MY WHOLE (not altered by a crazy pink phone fairy) CHEST!

10/10.
